  1. I've heard many phase 2 2.2 motors have piston slap. Some so bad you would swear the motor was not healthy.

Yeah it's been done. I believe that's what 88hatchmonster did on his hatch.
  3. Pretty sure the auto had 4.44 and the manual had 4.11.
  4. Yep, 4" lift. I don't drive it in the winter. They use a ton of salt and calcium chloride on the roads here and it eats cars. I have one of the very few non rusted out old Subarus around and I'm trying to keep it that way!
  5. There may not be many old Subarus around where he is.
  6. I have the same exact tires. I bought them off ebay for even less than that. And even after 40 for mounting and balancing, they still came in less than that. Took a while to shop around and find the best price though. I love them so far.
  7. Thats cool. There's a guy I know around here with a ZX-10 with I think a GT25 turbo in it. I guess it's a bit insane.
  8. But the pic he posted was a justy with tracks. It was not an ea81.
  9. I've always use Napa gear oil and used limited slip additive they sell in a small tube at Napa as well. That always worked really well for me.
  10. And it's just a GL with an EA81, not an RX lol. Pretty impressive what they'll do. Most I ever did with it was play in the sand off road, and played on some camp roads.
  11. Lol no worries. Just wanted to make sure whoever needs it, gets the right info.
  12. It's been a while since this was posted but..... 98-02 have the lower rear spring perches. 03-08 have the higher. It was changed the same year the body style changed.
  13. Congrats! They must use those blankets at every hospital lol
  14. Yes, why is that? While they aren't the prettiest, they look to have good penetration on both pieces of metal.
  15. Pretty sure it was around $415 shipped for the 4.
  16. I would think that 2000lbs would be all you'd want to tow with your Subaru. Yes, you probably could tow more, but with the amount of power the car has, even 1500lbs will be very noticeable. I hauled 2 snowmobiles on my aluminum snowmobile trailer. I estimate it to weigh around 1300lbs or so, and that was quite noticeable, and keeping speed was a chore. If it was all flat ground, it probably wouldn't be as big of a deal.
  17. I don't have any pics up close, but they are drilled down through the top tube on the basket, then longer bolts with washers. The metal was pretty thin on mine too, but with them tightened down well, they are nice and secure. The tires are 27x8.50x14 Grabbers. Thanks!
