  1. Use the DOHC heads and intake manifold from the old motor, and use the EJ251 block.
  2. I've found an impact driver works great for getting small rusty bolts and screws out without breaking them. Might be worth a try.
  3. Yeah it's finally warm here, but the past few weeks have been colder than it has been in a long time. -20 at night without windchill, and below 0 during the days. And now we have no snow after 1-2" of rain yesterday lol
  4. Should all bolt together just fine. They are nearly identical blocks. Did your old motor die?
  5. The quality of the header he makes is very good. Very nice welds, and nice thick flanges. Can't wait to get my swap done so I can hear it!
  6. All EA82 motors get cracks between the valves. It's more the cooling system and head gaskets that fail on the EA82t.
  7. I might have one, I'll have to check my parts car.
  8. Looks like stained wood grain to me lol. I had a piece of teak plywood on my BRAT in the same spot.
  9. Thanks for the links. Those say they are not adjustable either lol. But it's obvious they have it described wrong.
  10. 1990 Loyale 4" SOS Fab lift with correct front lift blocks 5 spd dual range swap rear disc brakes 14" Pug steelies with 28" General Grabbers XT6 front seats A few other odds and ends In the works: EJ swap snorkel rear LSD
  11. Are they the same for both sides? In the description they say they are not adjustable lol.
  12. Just got one of these from Steven last week. Can't wait to get my EJ swap done so I can install it. Just have to say that he does amazing work, and is great to deal with. He definitely cares about his customers, and is willing to work with you. Thanks again Steve!
  13. Because he wanted to.
  14. Come on guys. Just because its not your taste or not what you'd do, doesn't mean you need to be a douche.
  15. They can be a little tricky sometimes if the axles don't want to come of the diff stubs, but other than that it's easy, and I agree, you don't have to unbolt any suspension. Just unbolt the diff, and then lower it and slide it off each diff stub. I've done this in the dirt on my back, by myself, several times. If you are concerned about the weight, use a floor jack to help.
  16. Highguyslifts.com What size are wanting?

  18. That's where the interesting grammar comes from! Good to know. At the most, you'll just have widen the holes in the crossmember slightly. Some people have theirs drop right in, others have to widen the holes a bit, and then the motor drops right in.
  19. I was always under the impression that the 2000-2004 Legacys were all the same.
  20. Considering you are using an EA flywheel, you would use an EA polot bearing. The entire clutch kit is EA82 4wd. The only thing that is EJ is the engine.
