front axles
bratman18 replied to jp1gt's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXFrom my experience so far the NAPA Maxdrive will last a lot longer than 25k. I have not seen one fail yet. The only issue I have see with them is on a lifted EA82, but that is pretty normal for just a strut lift.

front axles
bratman18 replied to jp1gt's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI know the boots go bad more often because the cat is right there, so it gets hot. But it also makes a difference of what quality axles you are putting in there. Are they new or rebuilt?

Axle- please recommend
bratman18 replied to bstone's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI have had a lot of luck with Max drive axles from NAPA. They are about 100 bucks, and I have never seen one fail. I have seen a couple issues on lifted older rigs, but never a stock car

Oil in the Spark Plug Hole
bratman18 replied to raboni's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXMost likely means you need to change your valve cover gaskets and the grommets that go around the plugs as well.

BRAT with a "Sport" package
Actually not sure. Yes you were pulling on me, but you had a much better run and actually started in the right gear. I failed at climbing that hill:lol: Also, mine has bigger tires and wheels!!

.::I am new to site...just saying hello::.
I used to have one. I miss that car, and should have never gotten rid of it, it was mint with no rust at all. Nice find!

BRAT with a "Sport" package
I know that my Brat goes a lot better than most of the other old Subarus I've had. And it doesn't have an original BRAT motor in it. I have always thought it was because of the light weight, I mean, I can lift the rump roast end of my BRAT by myself, must be pretty light

My lifted 89 GL sedan!

Knock Sensor
bratman18 replied to jwnorman's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThat's insane!!! You can easily pick up a knock sensor for less than 100, and then at most it's 30 minutes to change. Sounds like something is going on!!
