Stereo Wiring, Wiring a Stereo, Old School head unit wiring
i hate the stock stereo wiring in the rx, shared grounds suck on speakers. i found it best to ony use the power and dimmer control wiring in the rx and run proper audio cables to the speakers. i did that when i had a stereo in the rx. it sounded much better than on the stock wiring.

Box came today... with goodies inside!
i like my 2.5" turbo back exhaust, i just gotta get an o2 sensor bung welded to it and maybe a divorced wastegate plumbed in. hmmmm. now i just need to get the money together to get a custom header made for the rx, i really dont like the twe esign, i dont like equal length headers.

Ok, so...any guesses...?
in rheory, one could make huge power with an ea82t, it will just be very expinsive. i have my first engine ripped apart at a machine shop, it will be vvery pricey and take a while to get finished, but should make insane power when i get it done.

Help: What parts fit my 95 Impreza other than 1995 parts
subyrally replied to Escapegoat's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXyou should be able to get parts from any impreza between 93 and 01. even some parts from the later years might even fit. you should find used parts from a 2.5rs to put in your car. the rs had a sporty interior and better seats. it also has the hood scoop and agressive body styling.

2004 Forestor XT Turbo
subyrally replied to duse_500_2001's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXyou can get an ecutek for it and have it tuned to run on regular or mid grade if you dont want to pay the extra$ for premium. but then again, that isnt cheap either. no matter what you do, it might be abit pricey on gas. but youll forget all about that once you get behind the wheel. its so fun to run around in a turbo suby.

Car wreck :(
just hope they dont total it, and if they try to, refuse it and make his insurance pay for every penny of the repairs.

hmmm, rx engine woes
that stuff take like thirty minutes per car, even less if you use air tools. even less with an actual lift. im pretty sure i have tomarow off, want a hand with that stuffs, i wouldnt mind seeing the buggy finally, maybe we could figure out some stuffs for the rx as well... give me a call this afternoon, we can hammer things out and see whats going down.

Fancy new intake installed on the buggy!
"ok kids, theres now three ways to do things, the right way, the wrong way and my way!" "isnt that just thw wrong way?" "yes, but only faster!" just reminded me of a homer quote.

Subaru's Rock!!!
yup, the coal mine caught fire in the 60's when someone was burning trash in an unused open pit mine. turns out that it still had coal in it and they didnt completely seal off the mine entrances. and yes, there is steam rising from the ground where its still cooking. and the whole place smells like misquite smoked with a chaser of sulfur, or maybe its the other way around... that place was freaking sweet though, and my car smelled like a bbq for like two months:drunk: .... on that note, i want to try to set up a suby meet there some time. it would be freaking awsome and we could have fun and go offroading.

Subaru's Rock!!!
cant say that ive been in mess that deep, but have rocked through mud and streams. ive had the impreza covered top to bottom in thick mud, havent got the chance to try it in the rx yet though. come to think of it though, i have been close with the impreza, i was coming home from stpr last year and stopped by a ghost town called centralia in pa. i took the rs around some trails that used to be neighborhood streets that were over grown and rutted, some were flooded. but nothing like the stuff you guys have done.

hmmm, rx engine woes
i always check the oil in the engine, i just didnt look under it to see how much had leaked out. its usually only a few drops per drive.

Exhaust question.
here you go, this is what im going to mount on the rx, it used to be on the impreza in chrome form.

Exhaust question.
as been said before, in possible another thread, i know what im dping when it comes to painting exhaust. ive painted all the exhaust ive used on both my cars. as long as your not painting the headers, its usually fine. by the way, i only use high temp ceramic paint. either way, i havent had any issues with painting exhaust parts.

hmmm, rx engine woes
well, took the rx out again, no problems at all, no hickups, nothing. just ran like its nearly new, still probably has the oil leak, i havent looked under the car yet though. its been startingup just fine after running and when it starts, it doesnt sputter and try to stall. i am thinking the radiator stop leak stuff might be what did the trick, it was still loosing some coolant the other day, im thinking that it might be the cause of the rough running, i added in a bottle of bars leaks and the coolant level hasnt gone down anymore, and its not running like crap anymore. now i just need to get htat damn oil pan to stop leaking. any suggestions other than taking the engine out and getting a new pan and or gasket..?

Exhaust question.
im running a cherry bomb turbo 2 muffler, its decent, but its not as loud as i would like. i am actually about get the muffler i was running om my impreza installed on the rx. its a dual cannister muffler with a 2.5" inlet and branches to two small mufflers with either a 1.5" or 2" outlet, and 3" tips, looks really cool in stock chrome form, but i painted it flat black last night with only the chrome rings left alone between the muffler body and the tip. looks hot.

another blown hg
there are multiple grades of aftermarket tstats, standt makes what they call the superstat that looks like its meant to last, its made entirely of higher quality materials than a normal tstat. they also carry a life time warranty. ive been using their normal tstat and the car isnt over heating at all, the only issue i have is unrelated to the tstat.
