  1. hmmm, kinda lofty goals, but it can be done. stick around here and read everything you can. youll get it figured out id like to see what you can come up with too. good luck and keep us updated.
  2. c'mon, everyone knows the most reliable were the ea82t and the '98 dohc ej25 from the outbacks. no problems at all, ever!
  3. ive been in and around imprezas and wrx's with tuned and equal length and stock headers, they all sound like some sort of boxer, granted, the stock wrx and other tuned length designs ezaggerate the sound, but even the stock exhaust and equal length headers sound a little off in their tone, you can hear the uneven beat of a boxer rumbling behind it all. ive also deen around subies runningg open ports, aka no headers at all. they still had a bit of a boxer rumble under all the noise. the exhaust note is aided by the plumbing after the engine, but the source is the internal engine design. thats why you can always tell a mustang from a comaro. mustangs always sound like they are drowning, no matter what headers style they use, its all in the design of the heads and the compression and the cams, ect...
  4. should be a direct bolt in, the only thing i could see being an issue is if one is sohc and hte other is dohc. but then again, i think its the same wiring and sensors.
  5. mine sounds like a cricket when your foot is lightly on the peddle, i think there is supposed to be a rubber bit on the end of the cable surrounding hte ball thingy, but eithe way, thats what makes the noise in my car, it rattles in the fork. annoying as hell.
  6. oddd, i cant find anywhere that sells 13" performance tires for less than $200 each.
  7. no offence taken at all, im just saying that im not much for stuff like that and that i dont really look at craigslist except when people post links on here. but thanks for the heads up though.
  8. yeah, im not an electrician nor do i do yard work, besides, i dont look at craigslist.
  9. since when is 140hp too much?? my first car was the impreza 2.5rs that came stock with 165hp and 166tq. the ea82t only has 115hp and you wouldnt have to get an adaptor plate for it. ive been wanting to build a rx brat, but havent been able to get ahold of one, but i have just about everything that is needed to do the swap... i just need the tranny and lsd. and a brat.
  10. looks cool, i think i might do that with mine. now to just find the parts i need
  11. so your saying that they would triple the price just to lengthen the studs 12mm?? i say that we should start looking at other companies that wont rape us to make a fastener.
  12. call arp, be all like, "yo, i want it longer, the ladyz like em longer!!" and once everyone catches their breath again, ask if they could run those studs about that much longer than norml.
  13. hmmm, wonder how well all will work in the rx.
  14. just looki into an antilag system from a rally car, shoots unburnt fuel into the turbo, which ignites and keeps the turbo spooled. happens any time your foot isnt on the gas between shifting.
  15. http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductList.aspx?parttype=190&ptset=C&searchfor=Coil or you could get the msd blaster 2 coil for $35, thats much better than stock.
