  1. It's made by Garret. It may have come on some Volvos, not sure about any other factory applications.
  2. Ok, cool. I'll try and get some pics tonight.
  3. Hmm, I see the small 4wd Turbo stickers like my wagon has on it's liftgate but not the red ones on the lower rear doors.
  4. So I happen to have a WRX downpipe lying in my garage, and I think I have a source for a vf11. What specifically needs to be done to swap it in for the stock turbo on my wagon? Has anyone done a write-up on their install yet?
  5. There's five hatchbacks withing 15 miles of my house. Two are mine and one is another guy on the board here (ironman). The other two I've tried stopping by to see if they were for sale, but no one is ever home. One is a nice looking blue 4wd with 75k original miles on it. The other has the dual square headlamps, which I though was GL thing, but has the 1600 emblem on the rear, also 4wd.
  6. I was sitting in my dad's Sonoma(deep tint windows) and actually watched a girl smack her door into it. She motioned to a passenger, and started laughing and walked away. IF there had been damage, we would have been waiting for them when they came back out.
  7. Yup, anytime I get a chance I park next to a soob in the thoughts that they might show a little more respect getting in and out of their cars. My car has had it rough enough without having to worry about more door dings.
  8. Does anyone know if the pedals from an ea81 car are interchangeable with an ea82? It would save me some junkyard scrounging.
  9. Interested, yes. But unable to commit without getting a few other purchases out of the way. Any pics of the rotors?
  10. Looks like I'm not going to be able to make it. My wife works that weekend and I don't think I can convince her to let me bring our 4 month old daughter along with me.
  11. How much work did it take to get it all put together? Sounds like an interesting setup.
  12. Vanislru is running an ea82t, look him up and take a look at his wagon.
  13. Well, I now have a lifted rig, sorta. Still running the original 13 inchers with 185/80 rubber. It has a 3" lift, but the rear isn't fully lifted correctly yet. I also have an ea82 sitting in the back of my truck waiting to be transplanted into it. There's a couple pics in my gallery, I've since then straightened and replaced the broken and missing pieces. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=4310&sort=1&cat=500&page=1
  14. Yeah I guessed the 13s would hamper me greatly. I'm out in the Onalaska area, 40 miles are so East of I-5.
  15. I'm not familiar with the location, post directions and I can get an idea if my Hatch is capable of making the trip. It's only got the stock 13s on it right now though. I may have my WRX back by then, if nothing else, I could bring my new camera along.
  16. I've got a creek crossing at my place that reminds me a lot of that vid. The first time I took my old wagon across it I thought I was stuck for sure. Ended up have to turn the car around in the creek and back my way up the other side. Filled the tail pipe with about 6 inches of mud, but it made it through! I just picked up a new digital video cam, now I just need to put it to work.
  17. Looks a lot like the trails in my backyard. So much fun to be had. Thanks for the clips.
  18. It's the pedal swap that concerns me the most about my swap. I've done lots of auto swaps before but I've never swapped an auto for a stick before.
  19. Cool, I'm planning this swap for my turbo wagon. I'll be looking forward to your writeup.
  20. That looks really snazzy, and should be very beneficial. Sounds like the price was pretty good too.
  21. As an WRX owner who likes tweaking his old gen cars more than the new ones, I totally respect what you've been able to accomplish. If my fricken '04 WRX hadn't had to go back to the body shop again, I would be dropping cash in my turbo wagon this week to start bumping up it's performance numbers.
  22. My cars that run dino oil get changed every 3k, or as soon after as I can get around it to. It's what I was taught to do growing up and I've stuck with it for that reason more than any other. However, my WRXs are running synthetic so they get changed every 7,500mi.
  23. First off you should make sure you are right clicking on it and saving it to your computer. Don't try to play it from your browser. If it still doesn't work, make sure you have the latest version of Quicktime installed.
  24. For everyone dying to hear it, here's how Myx's exhaust sounds: http://www.twistednipple.com/cars/Flowmaster.MOV
