Coming back from WCSS7 about 6 or 7 miles south of Eugene on 58 we passed a powder blue lifted hatch. We waved and I believe he waved back. that was the first time I'd seen another lifted soob just driving around. I don't believe he was at the show. Anyone know who it was?

Most who were at the show probably saw my Brat with the tube doors, but those who weren't here ya go: They use the stock door mounts as well as the stock door latch. I really enjoy them, they come in handy when I'm offroading. They're A LOT lighter than the stock doors as well, so thats good as well. What are your opinions on tube doors? They DO make driving on the highway a little noiser than with conventional doors, but they help a bunch with creating wind and making me cooler in the heat. And YES I did travel all the way from Reno to the show with these puppies on! I didn't get pics up sooner as I wanted it to be a surprise for everyone at the show. I'll get more pics up soon.

Here's my pics from the show. They're not the greatest quality cause I took them with the camcorder, but they work. http://usmb.net/gallery/Jays-pics Here's a my fave: This is what happens when you take an ej22 converted wago through a mudpuddle at 30 MPH! just popped the bead off the rim. Great stuff.

Who traveled the furthest to and from the show? I know a lot of you traveled from far away, but how many miles each way was if for you guys? I know Austin came from Minnesota, McBrat came from Iowa, Snowman and Northguy came from Alaska, and those guys from Arizona too, so how many miles did you clock? I came from Reno, Nevada and back so that was 1721 miles round trip. The brat hit 200000k miles too!

HAHAHA yeah that was HILARIOUS! I gave you a ride back to get your spare, that was great though. I'll try to get pics and vid of that on tomorrow.

Yeah let me know when theyre ready! I want one! -
haha yeah that was great! The green outback right? I was right there when you came down that trail between the 2 trees in the brush, that was gnarly. I don't think I got any pics as my camera died, but I know that guy with the 6" lifted wagon got a few.

yeah I wasn't thinking of driving all the way up there with it, but maybe into town or something. And I hear you're gonna try the trip with a bad axle? Oh well I'll try to fix it I guess.

I think my gas pedal cable broke where iut adjusts in the engine near the carb. I'd been having issues with it this morning as it was sticking wide open and my brat was revving up to 6000 rpm's. It still drives, but I have to push the gas pedal all the way down to get anything. How far will it get me until I can't go any further?
-
Yeah, stupid brat having a one barrel manifold. I don't think I'll have time to do it now. oh well
-
So I went to put my 2 bbl weber on my lifted Brat today, and found that I only have a 1 bbl intake on the brat. Can I have an adapter made to fit the 2bbl weber onto the 1 bbl car or do I need another carb? Thanks.

Jibs replied to subaru_styles's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
Yeah I'll be with SubaruJunkie. I'll be rollin with him wednesday afternoon. We'll definitely hzve to all roll into the show together. -
Its hard when they don't care as much about soobs as we do, but that being said It didn't take me 30 seconds to find someone who wanted to drive the 13 Hours to the show!! Granted its my 12 year old cousin who'll probably annoy the CRAP out of me, but that's why I can beat him up anytime I want.

NO!! im not sure if i can make it to wcss7
Jibs replied to soobmater's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
Check the local junkyards, or post in the Marketplace and QUICK!! ANYTHING to get it running, even temporary, THEN worry about it after the show. We want as many people to go as possible. -
Geez Zap if I'd only known. Just messin with ya, as I did the same, Its a subaru show and we are going to be surrounded by subaru nuts all weekednd. the last thing thats gonna happen is having something stolen out of a car. There's only one way to get a good look of someone's interior at the show as well!

Not to be redundant, but here's a pic that I have of the chrome calmaster, but with the centercap on it: And here's a closer pic of just the centercap: -
How the heck do I put a CD player in a Brat??
Jibs replied to Subarutex's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I'm guessing you have a gen 2 Brat, but here's my stereo in my gen 1: Works great, no problems in shifting. Here's what I have behind the seats. It was funny going in to have it installed, they had never done a brat before and said that they would "see what they could do" It turned out great though.
