1. The Automatics do not use a center diff, instead they have a transfer clutch. Only a manual transmission will have a center diff.
2. you would probably be better off with a 2wd 5-speed. The final drive on them is already 3.7, 5th gear is 0.725 vs .769 for the 4th gear on a 4-speed. Also the 5-speed will make a lot better use of the powerband. Oh you can't simply remove the font axles and still got down the road. You will need to leave the outer CVJ in the hub and they're not easy to seperate from the rest of the axle assembly.
3. there is already someone who imports those to the US http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=61627
4. put me down as a maybe on the breakfast, I would need to leave my place at about 5:00 to be there by 7:00
5. If you don't replace the belts, they will eventually break. Each Cam has its own belt and if the belt for the driver's side breaks, the engine will stop running. If the belt for the passenger's side breaks the engine will either run on 2 cylinders or it will stop running. The EA82 engine in your Loyale is a non-interference engine so your pistons and valves will not be damaged when a belt breaks.
6. these should still be good part numbers for the Left and right outer tie rod ends, for an EA81. When I ordered them, there were only a handful left in the county but I doubt SOA has discontinued them yet. Note the part numbers are left and right specific.
7. The 81 brat transmission has a different casting for the transfercase and the rear output is a little different too. If you want to swap parts between the 81 brat trans with a gen2 D/R, that can be done. It may also be possible to just make a Gen2 D/R work in a Gen1 Chassis.
8. First off it's a BF not a BJ. The Items that I am after are a drivers door handle and a driver's side, side skirt. In 94 the door handles were painted to match the bodies paint color and deep sapphire pearl is not a common color; only GT LS and LSI came in that color in 94.
9. If for some reason you every decide to part it out, please let me know. There are a couple of 94GT specific parts that I could use for mine.
10. It looks like I gave you some bad info about those wheels. The wheels that were stolen are aftermarket wheels but from your description I thought they were 94GT wheels which look like these.
11. I think I read an obsure article a couple of years ago saying that Subaru was using a 1.5L or maybe it was a 1.6L Ej engine in Eastern Europe at one point.

13 in tire

The closes you will come to a 13" off-road tire is a competition rally tire. Kuhmo and Hankook both sell rally tires in 13" but they are not any taller then a 13" street tire.
13. results are in http://www.oregonrally.com/files/RallyCrossScoring_060326_Final.pdf
14. Did you have an EA81 or EA82 flywheel machined to the XT6 Specs?
15. why dose it smell like a cattle ranch around here all of the sudden? Several people have done the six lug swap and probably just as many have taken 6 lug wheels and dilled the 2 holes in each wheel so they will fit on 4 lug hub.
16. I spotted a Syncro at the tire store today and noticed that is was a 4wd, was that on option or was it a conversion? The owner of it was driving off with some new BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/As. IT did look pretty good.
17. The back part of that trim piece is the same for all 87+ EA82s if I remember right. However finding one with a gold stripe may not be so easy.
18. If you take off the stearing wheel and turnsingle switch, you will only need to take out the 4 bolts circled in blue.
19. you could pull the studs out of the tires that you have now and, put some money away to get some used studded tires in the next couple of months. Used studded tires should start popping up on craigslist anytime now. The key thing is to get a tire with the correct diameter, along with wheels with the correct offset. On my 94GT the street tires are mounted on 16" WRX wheels and I'm using 205/55/16 tires. That size is a little taller then the stock 185/70/14 tires that came on it, however my speedometer reads correctly with the taller tire. My studded tires are 195/60/15 and they're mounted on the Fugly steel forester wheels.
20. here's an other one, click on it to make it bigger
