It may be possible but you may have top use stub axles from an early legacy or possibly a turbo legacy.

From what I've been able to gather, only the EJ15 and EJ16 got the distributor. Maybe the Australian version got one too, since their EJ18s were SPFI not MPFI. From what I understand about the distributor itself, it the basically the same as the crank angle distributor that's found on the later EA82s. So you're not really loosing any electronics. Also the electronics on an EJ engine are not that complex and maybe more reliable.

Stuck E-brake on PS caliper
GLCraig replied to TomRhere's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
disconnect the cable from the caliper. If he lever arm on the caliper dose not return to the normal position, you'll have to fix or replace the caliper. If it dose go back to normal, you need a new e-brake cable -
AHHH Brat is making me mad *UPDATE!!*

You mentioned that you have an oil light. Do you have the correct sending unit for it? since you have a light the sending unit you should have is the small one that screws into the side of the pump not the bottom. -

It sounds like you may have the distributor off my a tooth. Also double check that you have the plug wires in the right spots on the cap. -
ea82 PS pump mounted to ea81 motor?
GLCraig replied to mcbrat's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Yeah the EA81T used the same or very similar ps pump but there maybe a difference in the bracket. -
Anyone have richie's buisness phone number?

That's not how it works. Okay, let's make sure you've got everything lined up right. There are three marks on the flywheel that are seperate from the ignition timiming marks. You should have the pointer lined up with the middle of the three. Then on the cam sprockets there's the little hole, On one cam the hole should be at 12 o'clock the other should be at 6 o'clock.

Well the automatic seat belts were a fad during the early 90's. Anyway if you look along the plastic trim of the pillar behind the seat, you'll find a cap/plug near the bottom. If you pull it out, you should see what looks like an internal hex head. What that really is, is a place to manually crank the belt using an allen wrench. There should be a crank on the under side of the armrest of the center counsel.
