Guys it looks to me that he bought the car for his daughter and wants to deliver it on the way back to Seattle. That way he has a ride the rest of the way home. The car doesnt appear to be headed back to the PNW any time soon just good old Nebraska. They salt in Nebraska but he was smart to buy a Legacy with the thicker sheetmetal than the old GL's have. Around here, unless Mick or I own it, all the GL's are bondo or rust filled at best. What a great 1st car this will be.

Replace the radiator if its old. I would almost assume it was already done since the engine was replaced but maybe not. Thats where the trans is cooled.

Do a search for EGR Reset on here, that light comes on every 60K miles automatically. Its 2 plugs under the dash that you switch for a moment then plug back in. YES on the alternator causing those symptoms..REPLACE ASAP.

WalMart and HomeDepot both have a key system that has blanks that work on Subaru's.

It sounds like they found a 4 speed instead of a 3 to me, maybe even a Legacy transmission.

Has anybody put an ea81T in place of an ea82T engine? I like the XT but I like the pushrod engine and not having timing belts more than the ea82T. I was thinking somebody I would get one with blown engine and put the pushrod block in with the ea82T intake, turbo, crossover and downpipe still.

I have some dealer air filters I can sell if you want one and I wouldn't mind picking up a Purolator Oil filter for you while I am at the parts store. I go to Advance Auto for them.

I have a tinted pair of glass panels that are that purple tint DIY stuff or I have a clear one for the pass side. Im not sure if you could remove the tinting or not. This website says you can: http://www.tintdude.com/remove.html

Do u just have a solid one right now or do you need glass pieces cuz you broke yours? Ive got the individual pieces just no frame available. The full slider is spoken for on my other post.

Take the lock out of the passenger door and read the code off it. Then take this code to a Subaru dealer (or two) and see if they can make a key from the code. If you cant find one that can post the code here and I will try to find you a dealer or shop that can make one. S-Wingstuff in Denver was successful at one point for me too. Otherwise you can take a screwdriver to the lock and break into it and then replace all the door and trunk locks with a set from a junked car with a working key.

Please hold off on this we are very close to rolling something out that serves this purpose.

The only thing hard about it is burping the system after you are done. Im not sure on the price that seems good but make sure its not a Loyale one mis tagged. radiators.com is usually pretty good too.

Should work fine. Sometimes the 2 pulley ones dont clear the ones setup for 1 pulley. If thats the case just switch alt pullies.

Could a person put the height adjust onto ea81 seats? I like the feel of the older seats better but want the height adjuster.

Does anything come out of either one? If not: Disconnect the hose at a joint under the hood and operate the washer button. Anything come out then? Work your way up the line until you find whatever it is that is clogged or not operational. You may be able to apply compressed air to the hose and blow some pressure thru to unclog the tips, thats usually where these go bad.

That could be bad wheel bearings or maybe even that you have been replacing the wrong side.

I have added a centerlamp on my 83 wagon with AC. Mine is a 4 headlight frontend so I have to chop out a stock grill cuz they didnt put the centerlamp option on the quad light cars. What makes it not work? I havent operated it yet but its bolted on and ready to be powered up.
