Sounds mostly like it could be the inner DOJs on the axle assemblies. If you look at your axle from tire/hub to tranny its kinda like this -<>===[ ]= The - stub axle on the left end there, then the <> CV joint on the outside end, then the ==== axle shaft itself and finally [ ] the DOJ that goes onto the = splined stubs on the tranny. Usually the outer CVs go first cuz they take more abuse; having to turn, articulate and still rotate at the same time. Inner DOJs can wear out also tho and make a similar 'click' or 'pop' when shifting gears or taking off especially. Id get the axles checked out before coind the V.coupler! That thing is expensive 0_0 Good luck

Good call! Dont be ME Glad you are having a blast with the kit. I know exactly how you feel. After getting on some real trails with my BYB Ozified lifted wagon all my expectations were blown out of the water by how it performed. What rims and tires do you have bolted on under there?

That's the stupidest crap I've heard all day! ILLEGAL to pump your own damn gas? I know I'd have a lot of citations for breaking this law. CALL THE GAS POLICE he says! BUAHAHahaha Good form cole098... good form. EPA said its cuz people spill it on the ground? Is that bad for mother earth or something; spiling gas on CONCRETE thats laid OVER TOP of the earth? It will evaporate before any helpless, cute, furry animals come along to lick it up or water to wash it away to the storm sewer. The EPA needs to get their agenda realgined on some REAL issues. I'm supprised NJ citizens let that get passed.

Get a chance to bleed them in the correct order? Any better?

Squeeking from the front; right? Hopefully the squeek is just the indicator tab on your front pads. As noted pull off the wheel and look at the pads. See if the indicator tab is touching your rotor surface with the E brake on. In the rear if it's squeeking it usually is a shoe that kinda twists when you hit the brakes. Then the metal edge(s) of the shoes rub on the drums making a squeek.

how do you put an o2 sensor in
MorganM replied to sethpistol1's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Should only be a single wire... plugs in where the old one did I use the special O2 sensor socket; really helps a lot on most cars. -

Looks like fun. I'd need some better tires and more clearance before hitting any of that! -
That's terrible man Do you think its repairable? That's all that really matters on that aspect of the situation Take it easy on the back!

Note Topic --^ I dont want to use too large of a bit. There needs to be some metal for the stud splines to dig into; right? So what size should I use to drill out the new stud holes on my hubs? Thanks!

Hail Lift it. Add big tires. Offroad it.

That scorpion lift is pretty wussy. I'd get something from John (mudrat79) Here's some examples of his work: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1021&highlight=super+swamper http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=11816&highlight=bumper

Get the grill off. Then you can stick your hand behind the latch between tye AC condenser (if you have one) and the latch itself. Its a REALLY tight fit; I have pretty long/skinny fingers so that helped. On the drivers side of the latch; trace how the cable comes into the latch mechanizm. Then just pull on the latch where the cable is attached to it. Also helps to have your other hand pushing down onto the hood to relieave some pressure on the latch. Good luck

Time to undo some hangers and let it fall to the ground. There are some rubber hangers and bolt on hangers. Should be easy enough to find; just follow the pipes and youll see where it's hung from the unibody

buhahaha Good to see some real numbers. Care to elaborate on what mods you have?

Yep; either re route your lines around it to bypass the porportioning valve or remove it entirely and re run the lines. It will certainly work if you dont do anything with the lines and porportioning valve but as you stated it wont work like a real 4 wheel disc brake system. Those manual valves are pretty trick. Can get universal ones from Sumit for about $60 each. I was gonna get 2 for my rear drums to put in line cuz I had to run al new lines and bypassed the porportioning valve. Instead I just went and got some rear discs off a turbo wagon

Thats kinda scary if you can feel it at the steering wheel when it happens. Makes me think something is VERY loose. Budget is tight? TIme to Do It Yourself Jack up the car on the side that you feel/hear the noise. Pull off that wheel and take a good look! Grab onto things and give them a good yank. Look for stuff thats loose or obviously broken. Look for grease flung all over and try to locate its origine. Look down below at your ball joints. This is where the lower control arm meets the knuckle below your brake rotor. After you put the wheel back on but before you lower the car; grab the wheel and try to wiggle it. It should be tight and not able to wiggle to/from you. By atleast looking you might find it and then you can TELL the shop what you want done. Then you can call around and get estimates on the job you know that needs done.
