Lets have a Subaru BBQ before the snow flies! October 15, Saturday at around 2:00pm. My wife and I will host it at either our house or a near by park; depends on how many ppl plan on attending. Everyone must bring something to eat or drink. I'll provide the grill and charcoal to cook with. To avoid duplicate items please say what you will be bringing. We'll need meat, buns, salads, chips, and drinks. I'll update this post with the menu. MorganM: Cheezy Brawts + buns

Pick better lines. So you still like mud, right? :-p

gas and water; the smell doesnt lie. the cause is the real question. maybe the carb is slowly dripping into the intake then down into the chambers and you are burning all that extra off on startup; coupled with a bit of condensation in the exhuast manifolds and you have quite a ... steamy conclusion!

Should be a drain plug in the tank.

LOL; I think that Willys is about to show Dave how it's done!

WTH? Suddenly idling at 1700rpms...
MorganM replied to DrKrazy's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Bad signal from TPS but not enough to throw a code? Best guess I got at the moment. I wouldnt mess with the idle stop screw; bad mojo. Computer on the EFI will eventually compensate for it, then you fix the real problem, and idle is still off because of idle stop screw.... least thats my experience with those. -
Minneapolis Junkyard meet?
MorganM replied to Ratty2Austin's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
Yeah I've called them. They don't let you pull your own parts or even walk the yard. Sounds like they are a good source of parts but not for a meet & greet =================================== OK lets shoot for OCT 8th; SAT. Not this SAT but the following. Location will be U Pull R Parts, Rosemount MN. They always have Subaru in stock. Usualy a hand full of late model EA82s and first gen Legacys. Google map location: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=2875+...,0.060176&hl=en Take I 35 to Exit 86 ( CO RD 46 ) and go West. That road just turns into 160th. After you cross HWY 3 you are almost there. It's on your left hand side. Can't miss it really; follow the signs to the parking lot. If you click the Google link and just scroll to the left (east) you'll see where I 35 hits that main road. Really easy to get to; just stay on that road till you are there. Could we all be there by 11 AM ? Rain or shine; show up prepared for either! -

Just because it's laying in the ditch doesnt mean it's yours. Enough with the road sign BS. Buy a stock one or buy some steel and make one.

MorganM replied to Snowman's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...

Note the lack of boot around the shifter. I have the main boot on but not boot for the 4WD shifter and get some splatter up in the cabin often. Usually up my right arm too LOL

3" Lift Kit for 82 wagon QUESTION?
MorganM replied to msmith's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
All the lift kits I've seen are body lifts. They do not affect the gemoetry of your suspension. The only reason you'd go through axles faster in the front is because now you are offroading your lifted Subaru Not from the lift it's self but from the added abuse of offroad driving.
