Minnesota Holiday Meet & Greet
MorganM replied to MorganM's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
Yep we sure are! Dunno how dirty we will get with everything frozen solid :-p Prolly just get a nice coating of salt on the paint from the roads LOL. Here's the details again for those who missed it: Sat. 01 JAN 05, meet between 12:00 and 1:00. Directions: Turitto's Pizza 6611 E Concord Blvd Inver Grove Heights, MN 55076 - 4201 (651) 455-6363 On I-494 exit off at Concord Blvd. Take Concord Blvd. south into Invergrove Heights. On your right you will see a yellow sign for Turitto's Pizza and Subs. On the left accross the rail road tracks is King of Diamonds. Pull into the pizza shop lot and park by the funny looking Subarus (Maps are on page 3 of this thread) -
Sure they will... didn't you notice? they are on your car and work! Cut those pretty little fenders and bust out the BFH :-p How much backspacing is on those rims? Looks good man! Really filled up those fenders nice Can't wait to see it on a BYB lift !_!

On my mourning commute I was just glancing at all the newer Subarus on the road... hoping to see one built prior to 1990 :-p Passed this Outback sport wagon and started coming up on a first gen Legacy L wagon. As I pass the Legacy L I can't help but notice the driver is on the WRONG side of the car. Totaly cool! Never seen a Right Handed Driven car before.... wonder where he had it shipped in from? Might have been an old mail delivery vehicle? Who knows but it was cool

Buy a PCV valve but reuse the air filter? Just buy a new dang air filter and pcv :-p Oh and change your oil if you are getting that much moisture in it. Mine is the same way in the winter. I guess I just use more seafoam and change the oil more often in the winter Only 'fix' I've heard for that issue.

MorganM replied to smgjmg's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Especially if you wanna go wider than 9.5" on the tires. -
Yes
-
got spfi - mpfi T 1.8 swap "done"
MorganM replied to Jeepman775's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Sounds like power to the wrong wire. Prolly to a ground accidently? That might explain the poping fuses. That's what I like to hear! "Done" .... or really damn close -
Try "Doing"... :-p
-
Subaru never made one but Lincoln makes one for Subaru
-
Awsome man can't wait to see them on there in action. Got any spare tires laying around ? Throw them down and flex that Subaru !_!
-
I drive my 3" body lifted GL wagon on 29" tires on the freeway; quite often infact. My anti-sway bar is DISconnected. Never have I rolled any vehicle and the only time it feels unstable enough to roll would be when I get tipsy out on some seriouse trails. Is it impossible to roll a a lifted Subaru? Of course not; and it's prolly more likley then with a unlifted Subaru. Plenty of people roll over completly stock vehicles; even cars low to the ground. I'd like to think it has more to do with how people drive than what they are driving. Personaly I would be more worried about having a break down and getting stranded on that 400 mile round trip in an old Subaru. :-p Accident's happen but they are just that... accidents. If you haven't rolled the thing yet then those tires are not gonna start sending you into cartwheels on the interstate.

Hi everybody, thanks for a great site....

Glad you like it and come back often -
Man I might have to get me a set of them thar tyres !_! How much did you pay when it was all said'n done?
-
It's usually marked on the cap somehow. Often times just a funny bump or difference in molding of the plastic there. But MilesFox is dead on; its the upper right one by the firewall/brake master cylinder (looking directly at the cap in the car)

Aw man that sucks. Now I wish I'd left mine in the garage lastnight :-\ -
It's a '90 Loyagle guys; EA82 SPFI Some good suggestions with the intakes and exhuast. Honestly it should have enough pep to pull itself up hills and maintain 80mph on a freeway. When was the last tune up? Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, PCV valve, all those small parts can add up to some power loss. Even a few HP lost on these is a significant % drop in power. Still lack of power after that? Get a compression test done. See how bad your compression is becuase ultimatly thats where your power is coming from.

MorganM replied to Goatboy's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I got a pile of them from junkyards. Just let me know if you need any -
True that. They would get a good luagh and scoff at the thought of considering a Subaru an ORV Many are still in denial of Subarus on the Rubicon!
-
Stop confusing me! I was just in Farmington MN yesterday. Live just a few miles away from it :-p I keep seeing Farmington NM and thinking its a typo LOL
