  1. got it all wired up master power, starter button, fuel pump to the first switch, coil to the second, and radio to the last. the rest will be used for lights and whatnot, one for accessory power. put down one layer of POR15 in the bed, that stuff is GREAT! expensive, but worth it in the end. dries oh so slowly though, so i have to wait till tomorrow to put the second coat down, sorry no pics yet of the POR15.
  2. its cool, i figured out how to straight wire it a while ago so i dont need one anymore but thanks anyway!
  3. Well i will not be putting the ignition assembly back on, so i think im just going to use the cut off tool haha
  4. I just used rustoleum lens tint, comes in a spray can Thanks bantum, i will try to do that!
  5. its been a while...
  6. check out the beautiful new switches! this weekend im going to get the new switch panel all wired up! although i cant seem to get the ignition assembly detached from the steering column. it is held on by 4 bolts, but 2 of them are round on the top like a carriage bolt? any ideas? also this weekend i plan to finally build the seat frame for the passenger side... yeah, i havent done that yet. OH! and cant forget the good old POR 15 to put in the bed!
  7. My 78 gl has the non tach. Haha im not interested, just pointing that out
  8. Pics?
  9. they are mounted backwards... for now they dont have enough offset to clear the rear suspension. im building some spacers soon, but it look dumb with the rears on backwards and the front not
  10. I'd try it in my BRAT I'd fail miserably, but I'd try!
  11. threw some redrilled 6 lug 15s and 235 75 15s on my brat...
  12. check it out guys! drilled the rims and mounted them, used an old brake drum as a guide had to mount the ones on the rear inside out to clear everything, so i turned the front ones inside out too just so it doesn't look retarded. gotta build some spacers next! didn't lose as much power as i expected it to, i can still break traction on pavement and idle along in first or second without giving it any gas. had to bash in the inner fenders a bit to clear the tires, and im gonna have to do more bashing but i need a bigger sledge hammer first. lots of wander and torque steer, so ball joints and tie rod ends are next on the list. oh and shocks for the rear, im thinking adjustable air shocks so i can haul something without rubbing too bad on the tires. btw got the wagon running, had to wire up the coil like a lawn tractor but it runs. and i have a buyer, heres hoping they dont back out at the last second! oh and just a side note, just hit this mile marker with my Chevy

  17. So... some of you will be excited to hear... tomorrow im going to go and get a set of wheels! and a buddy of mine is donating some (mostly dead) 235 75 15s for me to run until i can afford better ones! im going to redrill the wheels instead of the hubs. i just PRAY that these rims have enough offset to clear the rear suspension arm. if not... gotta find some 6" aluminum stock and turn some 2" spacers.
