Hey RenMan..... I've Built Several 6" , 2 - 8inch , a 10, and a 12 inch lift.....the Key thing in doing it is to have 2 joints...one at each end if possible......On Jarods 8" I think we used 3 Joints, and a Carrier Bearing to keep it all steady and in Line...I know I used 3 and a carrier on My Beast's 12" Lift..... Call me if you need, I'll tell you a few secrets.... Later, John...... P.S. to the others I'd Like to see Who can P*ss into the Wind the Farthest.. I put my Money on that guy Who has installed several and Re-designed his own after it was installed....

Your Not alone..... Every time we Swapped the tires Off Shanes Forester, We had at least one if not all four be difficult.... His car is always in the Dust, so it takes no time to get them grunged up.... Normally I just kick the tire with my Heel at 9 and 3 o"clock several times to get them loose....You got a Good one..... Later Your Bud In Oregon.... P.S. Wait till you see my Newest Project..... I'll call you on it......

All things Lead somewhere.....I've run into this very Issue several Times On Early gen Impreza's..... Ok here is What I have found....A Failing Coil Pack will run poorly below 2000rpm, due to the Charging system running off the Battery.....At 2000 rpm things Start pulling more juice, and the Alternator kicks in throwing more juice into the system.....At low speed if your Coils are cross fireing , it gives your injectors false signals to pulse/give fuel.......causing you to get the Blue smoke, and Very raw fuel smell.....at 2000 or so rpm, things get more Juice/power, Coil Starts doing it's Job proper, and Car runs as it should......AS far as I know, The Dealer cannot Diagnose a bad coilpack....I have had 2 cars come to me from the dealer locally with this exact issue...... With the Coil acting up , you get All kinds of False Code reads, cause your system is doing things out of proper time sequence......My dealer sells the CoilPack for 90.00 My cost......When I did my first on I happened to have a Spare, and tryed the car out on it.....Before Buying a New one for the Lady who owned the Impreza......She's been running happy ever since...... My Money says CoilPack Bad.....Especially if it is Consistantly Running well above 2500rpm....... Good Luck, Keep us Posted, John

If you feel the need to cut , do so.... Don't take it quite to the threads, and As others have stated It will void any warranty you may have on the axles.....That is there for 2 Reasons, To be a Pull point for the Proper Installation Tool, and To beat on when driving the axle out of the Hub for replacement......Think of these 2 things when trimming it down ..... It Always Amazes Me how Someone With so Little Information on a person can so quickly come to a Harsh Conclusion Based on the Information given to him plainly in a Post.....????? Your talking about an EA-81 PS Rack.....Any normal Person would surmize that he ( Rob ) would be telling you about a good EA-81 PS Rack Seeing how they are SOOOOooooo Rare ......???? Hey PK.... Thanks For the Qudo's on Jarods Lift....I need to call and chat with you about the Legacy Lift..... I am neck deep in the EJ-to-Ea5 speed Adaptor.....I am working the Bug out of the One thing I don't like about the Whole gig right now ......as Soon as I have a Materials Price I will let folks know from my end.....I have 3 Locals not counting me , standing in My line for them.... Hey PK..... I like how you aproached that....... I as well am glad to see you will continue to build and sell for Brett..... I in no way shape or form am trying to take business from you, in fact I have sent many a do it your selfer your way for 3/3 and 3/4 kits.....easier on me so I can build the Bigger Rides...... I have installed a few of my Kits on Cars that Come to Me for install, But I haven't had the time to refine my Kit enough to just ship to any ole'Joe Shmoe....and with you out there doing 3/3 and 3/4 there's been no need to.. Why fight over potential sales, when I can build and install a 6 or 8 or 12 inch Kit along with the other things that go with them....... Keep Up the Good Work......Your Friend In Oregon.......

Hey Kurt, No I wasn't refering to you.....I was hoping to catch you while you were here, but wasn't able to come up for the BBQ... This is A guy I worked with early last year.....And discussed several Ideas with over many boring weeks at work..... I'm 90% sure this KP guy is him, and Am curious to see how many of My ideas are Floating in his " Pat.Pending Kits"...... It's alway's such a cool thing to hear of such things 3rd or 4th party...... He wouldn't be the first guy off the board to ask me how I would Do something, and Then build it as " HIS " idea.......I hadn't realized how many Certified Fabricators Where out there Building 6" , and 12" Lift Kits for Subaru's... I better get on the Band Wagon and Patent My Bumper with Swing out Tire/Jerry can holders, And Roof-Rack Design's WCSS 6 ought to be very interesting this Year to say the Least...... Still waiting to hear from BRATBULL or KURT in LEBANON, OR.....??????????

Hey Nick.... As several others have said.....water it Down.... IF you are able, rent or Go somewhere where you can get hot Fresh water on it as in Steamer styly.....I've been deep before, in a river, an Floating, but you take the cake with that one..... I've been trying to get ahold of you, I'll try here again in a few....... WATER WATER WATER....otherwise you'll be hating life with that car sooner than later....... Talk soon, John
