  1. no 2" EA81 $350 not complete? theres alot of small stuff like shocks on a EA81, shifter linkage issues some people like to get longer brakelines, Radiater hose mod, steering extension that kind of stuff,
  2. just a reminder you need a Discovery pass now
  3. so no 4x4 tranny? and why?
  4. I would link the lift blocks together , weld bars between , which will cause less stress on captive nuts, in this picture looks like bottom of bolt has no support , this will also cause more stress , would like to see pictures of lift blocks Scott from SJRLIFT
  5. my kits are 1" over stock so a 4" lift has 3" engine crossmember block , except on the EA81 a 4" lift is 4" all around I like your ideas will be watching progress and Interested what works in the real world
  6. it can be done, I could do it for you, the EJ front a-arms are different then the EA stuff but with a 4" lift that gives you plenty of room to make it work, also the EJ struts sit out further but that would be corrected with custon EA81 tops and EJ bottoms on the strut towers, I have both the EA81 and EJ car front chunks so I could jig up the parts and ship them to ya, if you came up for a weekend and helped it would reduce the cost
  7. OK I can adapt the EA82 throutle boby on , can I get spark without a disty?
  8. I want to put a EJ22 into a 87 EA82 SPFI car but I want to use the EA82 wiring , whats involved ? maybe use the EA82 SPFI and I guess I would need to set up the EA82 distributer, Im trying to get away from rewiring the car to make this run, I dont mind if its a little down grade from the stock EJ setup , its for my red wheeler sedan , I could run the disty off the front of the cam pully maybe, I could adapt the Fuel Injecter to fit the EJ manifold, has anyone done it?
  9. finally moves under own power things left to do to make usable hook up rear brakes rear shocks exhast more to come rear sheetmetel work rear trunk lid tidy up interior external rollcage winch front and rear air cylinders on rear axle to control movement later yet add toyota front axle and a set of NEW tires
  10. 4" at the struts 3" everything else , steering will be less as its at a angle , struts are the key rest is right angles
  11. the first go around was a learner, I like how this is going together, goal is Walker this saturday , been to long since Ive been out
  12. got the new axle all mounted up redesigned the setup so the front pivot point is up high, center of car nothing is lower then 2" from stock body , will eventually install a center body skid panel
  13. any updates? I like your car
  14. got my axles Toyotas 5.29 gears, lockright in the rear , ARB air locker up front, front axle will wait a while, I realy need to get this this back on the trail, this time around it will be driven not trailered to the trail, got the front diff redone its a 4.44 with old style diff stub carrier old setup out will keep the same rear spring and pivot
  15. good job Jeff whats the first outing?
  16. I run 31s with a ej2.2 Measure out about 30 works great, wouldnt recomend it with the stock 1.8
  17. so Im ready to tackle this , so basically take the carrier from a 3.9 stub style diff and swap it into the 4.44 diff? with no changes to anything or special parts?
  18. A welcomed one at that  see ya on the trail:eek:
  19. pics had a red doner wagon so the front clip got welded on got the Allied Armament bumper from my brothers blue car, will be adding the rear trunk back on but dovetailed with tubing , then sliders and externel cage , got a toyota front axle that will come later after I beat this baby a bit,
  20. progress fronts all done , now onto the rear
  21. IVE DONE IT ITS A LINCOLN LOCKER AND YOU CAN BUY THE WHOLE SETUP FROM ME AS IVE MOVED ON TO OTHER PROJECTS Also I installed a Nissan 720 4x4 pickup front Diff , axles and Hubs,in the rear, the diff bolts right in with no mods to car mounts or driveline, I had to cut off the bearing end of the stock soobbie swingarm and weld up mounts for the truck knuckle , so now I have 4.38s in the rear, so Im running 30" tires ( wore 31 x 10.50s) on the front and 33" tires on the rear , also the diffs welded up so now I have a stronger rear axle set up and unlocking rear hubs for onroad use
  22. I can do that might try this. this diff is in the front of a t-cases rig, so if the axle slines match I would prefer this should with my lift its only 1 inch over stock flex and the shaft still has play
