found this useing google...http://www.stu-offroad.com/misc/myth-1.htm it talks about wave lengths and everything.. i tried to make sence of it but...:-\
  3. www.vehix.com go to inventory search and choose any distance.. i just did it and the farthest it searched was like 2,673 miles away
  4. great lookin legacy you got there.great angle pics too.
  5. under the front seats are a wiring harness that i believe is for the seat belts.you could try looking to see if they are disconnected or maybe corrosion..maybe?
  6. i have owned my 93 leg with the same issue for 3yrs now.when i got it,she had that sound and haven't had any problems.i did change the gear oil and it seemed to quiet things down a bit. (but of course i did put on a louder muffler,so maybe that's covering it up :-p ) my mechanic has told me that he had a legacy with the same prob and has been driving it for a better part of 5-6yrs trouble free. i also got a spare trans with the car so down the line we can just swap them to take care of the bearing issue.i asked him why not just replace the bearings and he told me that there are shims behind it and it'd be easier to swap the trans (seeing that either way,the trans has to come out)
  7. not sure what the door panels look like on the back side where the speaker is,but you could probably get 6.5" in the front doors by cutting a ring out of MDF that will fit a 6.5,mount it to the door then screw the speaker to the ring.. you could try splice in speaker wire an running it to the back for the 6x9s...though it could take some power away from the back door speakers an cause them to not perform like before.
  8. my 94 justy had roughly 54,000 on the odometer..just a little rust on the fenders and needed a tune-up.also the rotors needed turning... i've been told it runs like a champ (had to sell to my mechanic, will be getting her back....come tax time) but if it was me,i'd buy the impreza...but definatly look it over thoroughly.
  9. luckly the previous owner did almost every thing for me.. behind the speakers are the dynamat baskets.. he also did the tail gate.not sure about the back doors, haven't taken the panels off yet. Syonyk, did you get any pics of while you were doing the install? are you planning on adding any subs or just keeping with the small speakers?
  10. BTW-what did you use to do the cutting...? i've been thinking of doing something similar, but just to remove the grey area of the front bumper.i was gonna use my roto-zip..
  11. don't take this wrong..it looks good but,are you gonna even this out? not sure about where to attach the skid plate..i'd need to be able to look. you could try at the bottom of the rad support..?
  12. how long are you gonna store them for? i've always stored some of my tires on their sides (took up less space and they were off the wheels) you could store them on their sides an deflated..
  13. i would of been there in a heart beat,but....i would of needed to take like 2 weeks off just to drive there (one way):-p less if i didn't stop to sleep or drink...

andy...your alt must hate you. all i have are these.. bottom lights aren't hooked up.even if they were, they were really sucky.
  15. yup, same here..use the engine speed to slow down. i've done that acouple times and found myself doing a straight drift(normally your going around a corner when you drift, not this time) for about 20-30ft...all the time scaring the sh*& out of my passengers. and was that fun..
  16. only a 39sec or so but...there's more svx vids at the site..
  17. i've done something similar..but instead of putting it in neutral,i just clutched.
  18. you could check out some J/Ys.there has been times that small stuff like molding, etc for free..just gotta go out an get it.
  19. you could try this antenna.. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103576 not sure about the wattage thing though..
  20. i know you said your not crazy about install kits for smaller radios..but i didn't need one with my install.only thing is that i had something to mount below cd player cause other wise,i would have had a hugh opening.. (dang flash glare) can't remember where i got that compartment though...think it was from my 93 leg. the kenwood fit right in useing stock brackets.just needed wiring harness and a little trim around the trim molding to allow the face to flip.
  21. yup, that's basiclly how you gotta do it when you don't have air power(luckly my mech does)
  22. well if you do use OB springs, you'll need the OB strut caps..which like austin said to get the OB strut caps to fit,you may have to mod the holes they mount in..(re-drill new ones) as far as i know, the OB springs are stiffer the legacys.not sure if they provide any more height.
  23. i was about to say that...specially were he has to hi-rev the engine to move the car...and slowly at that.
