  1. when i said exposed,i meant exposed wiring harnesses that lead to the headlights, corner lights and airbag sensors.

we knew it would. only off-roading i'd do with an explorer, would be just a plain old dirt road. not very exploreable the explorer is,now is it
  3. so how far up the hill did you get?
  4. i've meet a grand total of.........1 i meet up with 91loyale awhile back (4 parts)
  5. looks like my kind of sunday drive ....... when i first picked up my legacy,it didn't have the liners but still put em in cause of the exposed wires for airbag sensors.
  6. i had a set of bendix ceramic pads on the 99 avenger i had two yrs back.they came with a lifetime garantee.if they ever wore down to a certain amount while i still owned the car they were on-free replacement. only down fall with them is they were kinda hard on stock rotors-burnt mine up. although they were nice an quiet,no squeel, hardly any brake-dust i think they cost me around $40 bucks-not bad for life-time garanteed brake pads (i'm pretty sure i spelled some words wrong, sorry)
  7. you too...Hmmm i can still remember the fun i had with my first.. -durability is another factor that has kept me loyal to subarus. -simplicity
  8. glad you both made it out ok(you and other driver). 5yrs ago i found out personally how well soobys hold up in accidents(even older ones) +10 for subarus protecting their drivers
  9. reading about your cousin reminded me.back to 1996 when me and a friend went out driving in my 85 mercury linx (ford escort).it was during the winter months an there was snow.well we went behind a local deptment store to do some reverse donuts.we ended up getting stuck in like foot an a half of snow.well to make a long story shorter,i had to call my dad who's girlfriend drove a legacy wagon.they came out at like 2am to pull us out.(one pull) Welcome to the board, Subarus rock off road!
  10. they do sell the mounting kits for them.some like $15 bucks......or you can make your own not only are they great for lifting but if your in a bind, you could also use em for pulling.
  11. of course myself i'd .......do it myself in your case.if it's just a matter of $50. bucks,i'd go with the place that'll do the job correctly. (of course i've never dealt with either one,so i don't know their way of doing things)
  12. don't really mean to hijack the thread, but seeing that we're talking about oil pressure an all.couldn't see starting another one.(of course i could of done a search) is it possibly to use the stock oil pressure sending unit to get a reading for a aftermarket pressure guage.i have the guage all mounted and i'm planning on just tapping into the wire going to the sending unit for the oil light. would that work? or would i get a bad reading?
  13. i take it your looking for stock strut assembly (strut, spring, spring cap, etc) all the part stores i've seen, they sold separetly.now j/y's on the other hand...
  14. but how much would it cost to replace one of those sensors/motors that control the gas?compared to cable. i know.that's why there's warrantees, but what about when it's over
  15. man that looks totally awesome.i'm jealous.
  16. maybe she didn't know if it was 4wd
  17. that's a beautiful soobie you got there. +1 for getting a D/R that engine compartment makes me think it's brand new.
  18. my shifter's the same way(floppy when in gear)i'm gonna have to check, maybe i have the same problem. i don't have one on my steering column, does anyone know where mine is??! :-p
  19. i second that. Why did I buy a Subaru?-snow(sometimes we get alot of it here in new hampshire) also was a cheap 4wd (needs d/r though)
  20. that's the reason i went with the muffler i have on my legacy now came with a removable silencer(doesn't make it completely quiet though)
  21. subie94 replied to n16ht5's topic in Off Road
