The ECU limits the boost at about 9 psi.. even with stock settings you should be getting more than 4psi.. wondering if your wastegate is letting pressure off early. Maybe skip is around.. or corky.. they know more about these things

Where Can I Find Split Boot Cv's
calebz replied to oregonloyale's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Can't see any reason why there would be.. the axles are the same -
90 and later actually has a spot for a child seat tether anchor.. I have a factory anchor for a 90 loyale.. thought to use it in my 88, or my 87.. but they didn't have the spot to mount it.. remember that whatever a tether anchor is mounted to must be structurally sound. Those things on top of the seats arent tie downs, they are catches for when you fold the seat down.. not good for tethers.. ?.... my spare tire mounts under the hood.. and there isn't enough room under there.. even for a kid as small as mine:D

Glad to see you have kept your sense of humor(I love that part about doves flying out of your rump roast!) How mechanically inclined are you? can you follow directions? do you have a tool set, including a good torque wrench? if you think you have the ability, go for it! its the only way to learn. If you have more money than ability, pay someone else. either way, give Andy a sound spanking next chance you get:D -
A 3 year old should be riding in a car/booster seat for maximum safety(and in compliance with the law in most states). the safest place for said seat is the middle-rear seat, where there is a lap belt only. if the seat is used on either side, there is a locking clip that will make it more useful with car/booster seats.. If such a seat is not used, then those seatbelts(and all seatbelts) are not merely annoying, but fatally dangerous. Most places that I have been, the local state partrol will help show you the best(and safest) way to install a car/booster seat.

2 timing belts, non-interference.. and there may be a cd player, but I have never seen one.. I used the adapter piece.. no cutting involved and it looks nice and clean. WIll post a pic if you like -
As tight as you can get it.. torque on the castle nut is something like 140ft/lbs.. so get a breaker bar and stand on it.. they will make all kinds of funny noises if not tight enough

Last time I had that trouble, I went to the wrecking yard and bought a big handfull of those solenoids @ $1.50 each.. even got a few that worked. Just so you know , the EGR and Purge Control solenoids are the same thing, with the exception of the connectors being different -

Hmm.. I don't think so.. If my drivers side rear door(the one with the sticky lock) doesn't lock, the light stays on
-
Light is on when you drive around with the doors unlocked.. should go out by locking the drivers door, which should lock all 4 doors and the hatch(if you have a wagon) Mine didn't go out when I first got my 87, but one of the door locks was sticking.. now it locks and the light goes out, but that sticky doorlock won't unlock with the rest.. have to do it by hand
