  1. Yep it's all about location. Have had this wagon in Denver Craigslist for over 18 months, and still haven't gotten someone to come down and scoop it up. Excellent parts vehicle. Southern New Mexico location. For most, that is about the same as "off the end of the earth" lol
  2. I was going to offer you this body for $500. Have a clear title. Glad you got yours back. Yep this car is in southern New Mexico, off the end of the earth. No enthusiast base for these cars here, they all drive new ones.
  3. I have an '89 parts wagon. 4WD. It has the five speed in it. Engine is already out. Willing to ship this, if you set it up.
  4. Three BRATS still available in Bent, NM on Las Cruces NM craigslist. Were there a week or so ago, with a few general pictures. Package deal - believe it was $1400 for THREE mid eighties BRATS. Should be clean metal on those vehicles. Dave S las Cruces
  5. I got my '89 TBI tank out fairly quickly, but none of the fasteners were seized. That's the beauty of western cars and parts.
  6. I have a pair of boot kits, one is in a box by ARI with part # 910-0025. It has a NAPA Belkamp sticker on it, with part # 686-2192. On NAPA website, they still list late eighties Subaru with the numerical designation - such as 1800 so no idea what if fits, in other words they don't state DL, GL, or Loyale. Weird. Google search doesn't work here, apparently.
  7. I have both knuckles, hubs and rotors from late eighties DL / GL if anyone wants to go that route. Clean W Texas / southern NM metal. Off car and ready to ship. Rotors are turned.
  8. I have some new timing belts and engine gaskets. Fel - Pro & Gates, I believe. Stored inside, away from the weather. EA-82 engine. PM if interested. Dave S southern new mexico
  9. Send me a PM, have an '89 parts wagon. Dave S southern New Mexico
  10. I have my parts wagon and parts collection on Denver Craigslist. Not sure just how many viewers Craigslist has, anymore.
  11. Non Ethanol fuel is available, usually near Marinas or boat areas. I have been putting Non Ethanol fuel in my thirty year old Buick, and it runs noticeably better. Gas Buddy or a similar site, might be a way to search for such fuel.
  12. Wheel bearings bad. Guessing that they (like everyone else) in last two decades, went to sealed hub assemblies??
  13. Possess an '93 complete engine assembly, with 49 K miles. And full new gasket set with ancillary parts. Belts, hoses, thermostat, etc. Willing to crate & ship, if you set it up, and are so inclined. Have a lot of small metal parts, also, that are easily shipped. Good luck with your new car.
  14. Same direction most of the car mags took - extinction. Last one I subscribed to was car craft, and it was pretty bad by the end. Endless "LS" swap stories, and tie ins to "reality shows"
  15. 2018 Collector Car Price Guide (from editors of Old Cars Report) List the following: 1980-84 1600 GL station wagon, 4 x 4 Condition #1 - $6500 Condition #2 - $4550. Condition #3 - $2930. No breakdowns for 1800 cc engine, auto or manual transmission, or dealer special edition packages. Their rating criteria - which believe is used by other automotive appraisers, insurers, etc, i.e. Hagerty's is as follows: condition #1 - Excellent : Restored to current maximum professional standards of quality in every area, or perfect original with components operating and appearing as new. A 95-plus point show vehicle that is NOT driven. condition #2 - Fine: Well restored, or a combination of superior restoration and excellent original. Also, an extremely well maintained original showing very minimal wear. condition #3 - Very Good: Completely operable original or "older restoration" showing wear. Also, a good amateur restoration, all presentable and serviceable inside and out. Plus, combinations of well-done restoration and good operable components or a partially restored vehicle with all parts necessary to complete and/or valuable NOS parts. For example, am hoping to "restore" my weathered '72 Chevelle to #3 standards. Simply not possible or feasible to reach #2, and it could never be #1, due to use and wear, imho. I would call your wagon, at first glance, a #2, do not know if mileage affects this. Also am of belief there has been inflation of values in the last three years.
  16. darn, that is one rusty car. Aftermarket AC on that rig? Looks like a YORK compressor (often found on Ford) under the hood. Must have been in a very moist environment to rust like that. A west Texas or southern NM vehicle will be rock solid, metal wise, but all the rubbers, plastics and vinyls will be junk. And the interior will be exploded, as the seat and dash foam disintegrates and the vinyl covers decay.
  17. Have a lot of parts and a parts wagon, but no enthusiast base around here. Everyone here seems to be driving a new vehicle, usually a truck. Maybe they're all rich.
  18. Darn. Have to wonder why their "engineers" chose 137 mm for the bolt pattern. Why not "round" off to a whole number?
  19. This is '89 TBI tank. Supposedly fits '87 - '89 wagon. Can understand why it doesn't interchange back - '85 and '86 were carbed, but why not Loyale?
  20. I have a flushed, clean '89 tank. could it be modified or used?? Dave S Dona Ana NM 88032
  21. www.uship.com www.getloaded.com A few generalist transporters/haulers websites. There are others. Whether they are all still active, do not know.
  22. Guess that is something like this - '83 Wgn. Unfortunately the local yard just crushed it. The Executors didn't want to consider saving hardly anything old.
  23. Haynes manuals, while sometimes decent, are generic. An original Factory manual is always preferable if it can be acquired.
