  1. Yeah, Edrach has/had a set that he sent out and had polished up. They look very nice when they are shined up.
  2. Better to do it, that way you learn how. Sooner or later you will be doing it. Upgrade, bad turbo, etc. Get some PB Blaster and soak the nuts/bolts. Remove the oil line on top, then the hard water line on the side. Remove all the nuts holding the turbo to DP. Remove the nuts holding turbo to up-pipe. Theres a bracket that holds the turbo to the head, need to disconnect that. Then the whole thing should come out. The return line for the oil should just slide right off, but the water inlet will stay attached. This is where you need to use abusive language :-p It will have a double clamp on it too, so twice the fun!
  3. I'll see what I can find in the manual, but I've always removed the turbo to get to that line :-\
  4. It sounds more like the supply or return coolant line for the turbo. The return line is between the turbo and head, and yes its a royal PITA to get to. Best way to check is to fill the system with water and let it run, then use a flashlight to find exactly wheres its coming from.
  5. It could also be a bad connection at the ign connection plug under the dash. Its a pink connector to the right of the steering column and under the dash cover. I've seen these have melted plugs before when the contacts are loose.
  6. Do I really have to list all the mods? I havent even been out since the snow melted :-\
  7. Your bringing 5? Did you have to offer them money? I have this problem every year. I was going to bring 3 last year, but one person couldnt make it in time. I have one lined up to drive this year, but if I had more volunteers, I could bring more. Well, I could if the price of gas wasnt so friggin high
  8. I'll be leaving sometime on Fri, not sure what time yet. But it also depends on my "drivers" also. Or even if I'm bringing more than one car
  9. And.....ahem.......pulling things out were they werent meant to go :-p
  10. Because fulltime 4wd rocks But only if its made to do that. I get 24mpg on the hiway in my RX.....as long as my foot stays light.
  11. All the times that I have had a hot=no start problem, the coil was the culprit.
  12. Happy happy joy joy Its also my youngest boys b-day, he's 14 now
  13. I would try replacing the 02 sensor and if its a 86, it has the flapper style MAF. Not much to clean on that but the door linkage.
  14. That would have been a bad thing :-p I want to see lots of pics. The more incriminating, the better
  15. Is this the one you were looking at? If so, the price has come down. http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/car/725530130.html
  16. Well yes, I have been known to get it airborne on occasion
  17. Got to love the Aussie humor http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1540614
  18. Remove engine (Its a 3cyl, you can pull it by yourself). Tear engine down. Replace bad parts with new. Put engine back in car. /
  19. Sorry I didnt make it. I kind of over did it stripping out one of my SVX on Sat and just felt like a Rally X would have been a bad idea :-\
  20. As per a phone conversation with Ed earlier today, he is correct when saying its a FWD. He will be grabbing the rear disc's on his trip Thurs. Thanks Ed!
