  1. Well, theres 2 ends to the cable (duh). One end goes to the top of the tranny and the other is on the back of the cluster. You need to pull the cluster to get to the cable.
  2. Shouldnt be rings with only 32K on it. I say do a tune up and adjust the carb, then see how it runs.
  3. Just to clarify about the proper marks. These would not be the timing marks. The marks you want are just about 1/8 turn CCW to the timing marks. Line up the middle mark to the pointer and then set the drivers side cam mark to the 12 o'clock position. Once the belt is installed, rotate the crank pulley until the drivers side cam mark is at 6 o'clock. Then make sure the passenger side cam is at 12 o'clock and install that belt. Should be good to go then, simple enough?
  4. When you left my place today and hit the main road, I could hear you hit the go pedal. For some reason, when I heard it, the first thing I thought of was a racing MG (on steroids)
  5. Cool, its all grown up What about the side skirts?
  6. Not bad. If you shed some weight it might be even faster
  7. Gee Glen, I didnt think you were serious His thread subject states its a EA81T
  8. He said he would donate the $ for the stuff he didnt ship to the USMB. As far as I know he never came thru on that either. Personally, I dont want to hear from him ever again. He's burnt all his bridges and knows it.
  9. It might be the Throttle Position Sensor. Its on the side of the Throttle Body and you will see a wiring connector to it. Remove it and see if the contacts are corroded. Clean them if they are. To adjust one is a beotch, you will need the FSM.
  10. Roof Racks Roof Racks Roof Racks Oh, and maybe a Light Bar on a Roof Rack
  11. Throw the EA81 Turbo away and get the EA82 Turbo/Downpipe/X-Over pipe(header). All this is pretty much a bolt up deal, altho the header bolts might be reversed. You will need to remove the studs and swap them over to the other holes. The water cooling lines might be a hassle too, seeing how yours was never upgraded by the dealer. You need to tap into the heater return hose (I think) and route a return line also.
  12. Oddcomp, I have one on the back of my 86 T-Wagon, do want a pic or 2? Its the reciever type and looks to be aftermarket.
  13. Hmm, local. Hey Qman, want to go? Should we challange the mudpit or obstacle course too?
  14. Looking good guys, wish I could help :-\ I would love to see how fast Eric and I could put the shingles on
  15. This should be in the USRM. Great write up Gary
  16. But then again, maybe not http://xt6.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=30466#30466
  17. Do it the old fashioned way. Write check, put in envelope, drop in mailbox
  18. She's one tough gal, she will no doubt be up and running again soon.
  19. This should help get you running again. Read down a little ways to see how the belts are installed. Kudo's to Miles. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/article.php?a=24
  20. You are going to have to relearn how to RallyX it now You might get some pointers from Qman
  21. Was wondering why you didnt come over with Ed and Pat? Could have looked over my stash for some parts
  22. How about your thoughts on the way it handles now I know when Qman put the rear swaybar on his Brat, there was a distinct difference on cornering.
  23. If the canned stuff doesnt do the trick, the oil pump seal/gasket might need to be replaced. Dealer item, usually around $28 and you need to remove most of the front of engine to do it
  24. I wasnt there for the tear down, just for the clean up. Hope you got the rest of the walls up. Are you having trusses done?
