  1. Dont waste your money on the 2.5. Better off with a 2.0 thats already setup for turbo.
  2. I may have forgot, but what color is the SVX and does it have a front bumper? At least you finally got a headlight.
  3. I'll believe it when I see it
  4. There is nothing in the FSM's from 86 to 89 that show a 4wd 3AT thats 3.9. My 88 parts book also shows all the 3AT's as a 3.7 final drive. Personally, I have never seen one. So if there is a 3AT out there thats a 3.9, its a freak of Subaru nature
  5. Hah, I looked in 2 different FSM's to make sure :-p Nik, the 4EAT FT will be 3.7, even the turbo's. Heres a weird one tho - the XT GL 4WD with 5spd S/R is 3.7 :-\
  6. Last time I checked, all 3AT's were 3.7 The Fulltime 5spd's(except XT6) and 4EAT are also 3.7
  7. I would use option #1. It brings you close by a few of us and if you get lost it will be easier to find you :-p Never been up Fiske Rd, it may be closed due to logging further up tho. And I should have a open seat, in whatever I bring.
  8. It should be a 3.7 diff, theres a tag on the back cover where it should say. The fluid might be a little dark, depending on how old it is. Otherwise it should be gold in color. Remove the top plug on the back cover and put your finger in the hole. It fluid should be up to the bottom of the hole. Use 80-90 weight gear oil.
  9. I had my header break right at the point where they meet. But I lost ALL boost when that happened :-\ Hopefully yours isnt in the same place. I might have another one floating around in my shed.
  10. First off, what was the tranny that got rebuilt? 5spd D/R? 5spd Fulltime? 4EAT? All of these depend on what you run in the rear for a diff. The Dual Range will use a 3.9 diff, the others use a 3.7 diff. A 3.9 diff is easy to find, at least here in the PNW.
  11. LOL If you were to do that, why bother with mufflers?
  12. I think I will email this guy and tell him he's wrong about the EJ engines mating up to the tranny :-\ Doesnt work without a adapter plate. Cant wait for pics of the black RX.
  13. Depends on where the leak is. If its after the turbo, it wont have any effect on lag.
  14. Welcome to the board. First order of business is to learn the search function Theres lots of threads about the mods you want to do. But for starters.... Dont go any bigger on your exhaust. You need back pressure or it wont run right. It will never sound like a WRX. You wont be able to fit 5x100 wheels on unless you do a suspension swap. Right now you have 4x140 and the only options you have are Peugeot wheels. Most of this info can be found here or in the Retrofit forum.
  15. How about by the 20th? I want to drive my XT6 to the Dragon :-p After fixing the cooling issue of course

  17. Turbo intake from a 87.5 XT. Hard to come by now days. They flow a little better than the regular EA82T intake. Its called a spyder intake.
  18. Make sure the fan is turning on when it reaches temp.
  19. Ehh, no. Never seen one badged as a "Special Edition". And all the RX's that I know of have PW. Get more info and/or pics!
  20. Hmmm, could be. I had 2 of them at one time and sold one.
  21. Indeed, a 2 row radiator with 2 electric fans on it will keep it cool. I have a WRX intercooler on my setup. It runs very cool, almost to cool.
  22. Dang it, why Tigard? Looks like it has some pretty rare alloys on it. If you can, find out what color the interior is.
