I hope this isn't off topic, but I'm curious about Brats. How does one of these little rascals drive compared to an ea82 wagon? Also, I'm about 6'1'' and wonder how comfortable it would be for me to drive one. I have been looking around and comparing prices on brats for about 2 years now and plan on buying one by next spring. I will have to do some traveling to get one seeing as there are none left here in MI, and would like to get some ideas before I decide for sure and get into something I wont like.

Also, these are some fine looking vehicles all around!

My toy...

Other than the rollbar, I'd swear that was my 81 :-)

My son got us into Subarus when he brought home an '82 Brat. He's 6'4" tall. It went to my other son who is 6'2" tall. Now I own it; I'm 5'11''. Talk to qman; I think he's 6'5" and drove a Brat for a while.

Ok, I finally had time to shoot pics of my '84. It is all original except the seat covers. I had my buddy recover them. I'm not sure on the engine either. 193K, 70psi oil pressure on start up and 25 psi after warm up at idle and goes light hell! The wrinkle in the front fenders comes from high speed approaches to hills. Haven't had time to straighten them out and I've got a whole rust free front end for replacement anyway...
