  1. Just make sure it doesn't need headgaskets and I heard the wheel bearings are notorious but have no first hand knowledge of it, just hearsay. What color are you looking at getting? I'm sure you know how rare they are, it took me 6 months of daily searching to find me one that met my criteria. Here is mine:
  2. You are correct, two bolts hold it on and there it is. Also remember to get the Subaru gasket that goes with it. Here is a picture for reference:
  3. The thermoswitches are notorious to go bad on these, I went through 2 of them. If its not working, you can always ground it to where it comes on with the switch. I would also replace the radiator cap while your at it, never can hurt to do that. Like The Scooby said, stick with the Subaru thermostat.
  4. Its better just to stick with Subaru thermostats. They are not that much different price wise and I and a majority of the board swear by them.
  5. I sold mine for $1700 with 250,000 miles.
  6. Mine is as well. http://www.vinbee.com/cgi-bin/pv_fetch.cgi?vin=260273388075&veh=subaru-brat Took forever to sell the thing.
  7. Good luck is all I have to say. Grayson Subaru in Knoxville runs a scam where they etch the last 6 letters of your VIN into your door windows. They say they do this automatically and charge the customer $1200. I argued with the salesman for 1 1/2 with the fact that I am not paying for it. Then to beat it all, the car wasn't even etched yet. I followed up the case with SOA and they told me that they were unfamiliar with "VIN Etching" and said they cannot govern other dealership's policies. If I was making payments on my RS I would have followed up with the BBB.
  8. Was not aware the Baja had something like that. Anyone have a picture of said item in action?
  9. Brian those wheels really set that BRAT apart. How long before you drop you a t-top roof in there?
  10. Holy crap dude. Gonna be the first to say it, well there's your problem.
  11. Jackpot! Good to hear. We all here at the USMB know how much of a love/hate relationship you have with that coupe.
  12. Good luck, again. I always look forward to seeing the pictures of your project. Hope to hear good news later.
  13. Thanks for the advice guys. I will try and pay more attention to what its doing here in a few when I leave work.
  14. I did not replace the rear rotors. I assumed it was front being that my dash shakes violently and I do not feel anything in the seat to suggest anything from the rear. Wouldn't a bad strut give me issues in suspension when going down the road, not just in braking? I have zero noise from there if I hit a bump.
  15. Good grief I hope not. Money as tight as it is, I had to scrounge up the money for pads and rotors. I will check the steering components next chance I get, weather permitting.
  16. Been almost two years. I hope he get the problem resolved by now.
  17. I've managed to clog a heater core with that stop leak stuff. Good luck man, lets hope your right about the core. Sounds like it though.
  18. Outback Sedan in my opinion. You should see the ground clearance these things have.
