  1. Ed you're not able to receive pm's. This is what is on facebook, West Coast Subaru ShowApril 16 Hey Subaru fans! Mark your calenders, submit your vacation requests, and get your cars ready! WCSS 15 will be held September 6th-8th at the Cowlitz County Expo Center in Longview, Washington! More details to follow as we get them. We'll be seeing you there!
  2. What type of mods did you do in the rear?
  3. Your clutch cable may be stretched. Keep up the good work.
  4. I'd keep it, but I like these cars. I have a twin (except it's silver) that I put an early EJ22 in eighty thousand miles ago and I have no complaints. I don't mean to pile on with the EJ thing but I bought my car with a bad engine and I happened to have the EJ looking for a home so I have no EA82T experience. There have been some threads regarding interior whiff, ozone generators came up and some other solutions. Anyway, if it were me I wouldn't bail on it.

He has an EA82 not a new gen
  6. I went to this place for for a windshield my SVX. There is a fair chance they can help you out. http://www.apexglass.net/
  7. I tried to PM you and got an error message. Do you have the same number you used to have? If so, you have a voicemail.
  8. Try not to let it get you down. Keep up the good work and things will look up. (coming from the guy that still has a disassembled hatch.) Give me a call when you get a chance. Abe
  9. Short answer is no. FWD clutch is 200mm in diameter with a 7/8" diameter 21 spline center on the disc. The 4WD clutch is 225mm in diameter with a 1" diameter 24 spline center. With that, the search function of the board is a wonderful asset... use it.
  10. Possibly yours failed by shorting the capacitor to ground when it would be more common to fail open which would act the same as not having one. Just a thought.
  11. I'm south of you and will scan for it in my travels.
  12. The guy that drives Butters with manual steering has arms that are bigger than my legs though. That may make a difference.
  13. It wouldn't. Stripping the splines would be due to a loose axle nut that was possibly caused by incorrect assembly of the washers or else the nut wasn't tightened sufficiently when it was installed. The redrilling wouldn't be the cause.
  14. I just installed an EA82 power rack in an EA81 manual crossmember with very little modifying. A little trimming where the lines came out by the shaft headed to the steering column and a slight amount of slotting on the clamp brackets that hold the rack in. Am I missing something? I realize you were talking the opposite combination but it would seem that it wouldn't be too much different going the other way.
  15. There is some information here that may help. http://www.angelfire.com/crazy/bushy5552/weber1.html
  16. Does this mean that the EA81 car that I have been using EA82 knuckles on for that last few years is something I should be concerned about? The difference that I found was the angle where the strut attached (affected the camber) and the inner seal diameter on the axle.

  18. I meant going for example from 4th to 3rd or 2nd rather than shifting up. What rpm's are you seeing when it is surging?
  19. Is it smooth if you drop down a gear or two and give it a few rpm's?
  20. I've got factory manuals (as I'm pretty sure Turbone does as well) I could do some scanning if you want. Or maybe Alldata from a library would have what you need.
  21. Is there a list of the various award winners anywhere?
