  1. so, what's the most lift that can be done without messing with axles?

  3. 12" lift with 13" tires might look wierd, but want that clearance for snow, tires to come later, besides IOWA has almost NOTHING for OFFROAD

  6. I saw that stuf on a Rockwell trans I tore apart, ANaerobic sealer, still gooey if exposed to air, "hardened" when it sealed

  12. pug rims are a VERY common "upgrade" done for going to 14" or 15" rims steel or aluminum in different styles I have a set of 4 14" steel I bought for $6.25 each I can buy a set of 4 or 5, not sure 15" steel for $10 each check the wheels page
  13. check choke kickdown, vac leaks, and gaskets pour mmo down carb to fog system clean use carb cleaner in tank, pour in at 1/2 tank or less, repeat 2x adjust idle speed with a LONG slot type cabinet screwdriver, it sticks out behind the ps pump, you'll know when you find it
  14. put a wood block in the spot, has lasted more than 2 weeks, fits good and have no plans of putting anything else in there, not even a screw to hold the block in
  15. and thought my driveshaft was going bad, and I discovered that I could reproduce the ping by tapping on the shifter, and make it go away by pulling up on the 4x selector

  18. if'n you need help, sure! did you order the points and condenser? see if there is some kind of a snap ring keeping the caps from coming off, that's how they should come out if no bolts

USE THE PACKER to put in new grease, there is very little mess if done right 1. clean bearings in SOLVENT 2. blow out old grease and solvent with compressed air 3. put bearing on packer << 4. pack bearing with tub grease 5. put packer top on <<< 6. pack bearing with gun grease until a good amount has spewed out of bearing bottom, usually 6-10 pumps 7. remove packer top and bearing and put left over grease in tub for next time < timken is good I use napa ep disc and drum hd bearing grease in 5# tub, it is white
  23. GET A SECOND OPPINION! have them do a before and after parts check and document many nokians are siped from the factory
  24. wd-40, pour it on, wipe it around, scrub it in, buf it up, rinse it off
