impreza's don't have power seats. As for side airbags....when you get them out then you can set them off and blow stuff up...(redneck good time)

I just sent him an email about one for my 83. I'll let you all know if he has a response for me or not. I didn't mention anything about the ones you guys are interested in since I am not in need of one of those.

Winter Storage
subeman90 replied to nipper's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXstarting and running for short periods then not running it again will lead to premature exhaust rust out. Once it is off let it off. I just put my 83 in storage and I ran it around w/stabilizer in the tank a few days before parking it. I pulled the battery tonight and it is in my basement. The car is not going to get run for 3 months minimum. Benebob told me that if you put steelwool in the exhaust pipe it will keep mice out of your exhaust (nesting). Max inflation on the tires is a good idea and if you can spring for a cover all the better. I also have been told if you really want to go all out pull the plugs out and spray a little storage oil in the cyls. and put the plugs back in....it will keep the rings from getting stuck. Tell your OB to have a nice rest and visit it often to let it know you still care...

Help on purchasing/price of Brat
do it or you'll regret it later. Trust me on this. If you lived out in Wa or something like than then it might be different but in KY i'd do it in a heartbeat.

Can the ECM be eliminated/bypassed on an EA-81?
is the coil any good? are you getting power to the coil? As for eliminating the ECM? I bet you could. Think of it this way...how many carb. vehicles are out there that don't have a computer in them. Now just think of what it really takes to make a car run: Fuel (maybe you might have to rework the FP relay), power to the starter, power to the coil (for spark), air(if you don't have air I don't see how you could be reading this). i don't know how the gauges work but you could lose them in the process (if ecm controled) I just totally lost my train of thought... (wife complaining) you can see where I am going with this.... think it out and maybe you could overcome some of the small things to make it all come together.

Any one in the northwestern PA/northwestern OH area?
He is in franklin PA which is up rt.8 maybe 10 or so miles. It is old exit 3 on I-80 (not sure of the new #) The town that is listed on the exit sign is Barkyville (or some spelling like that)Andrew...watch out for the snow....it is snowing here right now.

Can the ECM be eliminated/bypassed on an EA-81?
do you have emissions testing up there? If so you had better not touch any of those hoses yet or you'll wish you didn't. Don't get me wrong.....I'd do it too if I didn't have emissions here.
