  1. Personally I have put a lot of wrench time into my car and hacking up the rear fenders just because of a design flaw doesn't sound fun. I have a nicely done cut job on the front, but those rears just look goofy.
  2. Anyone Looking for steering wheel adapters for Subarus here's the buy it now auction. 9 left http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7975500770&category=33704&sspagename=WD1V
  3. Anyone know how to wire up the reverse lights after an auto to 5spd d/r swap?
  4. Well we started buying the burgers that we will need for this thing. Think we are probably just going to mow off our feild and have it here at our place. Easy to find and free! We got plenty of space if anyone wants to camp. We have tons of stuff to do around here too. Offroading, hiking, geocaching, swimming, log splitting, grass mowing... oh wait. ANyhow, hope to see some of you.
  5. So does that mean you can sell these to those of us who don't know how to build our own?
  6. So we have about 4 maybes and 2 YES's. I will try to compile it into a real list in the next day or so. I would also like to know who would be interested in a trail ride during this meet. We might have two groups. The these are nice cars and we want to meet people group, and the lets get real muddy and stuff group. I like participate in both groups so this is not a strictly offroad meet.
  7. I like the ricer style. Just need to be clear with red LED's. Now that would be kewl. I say custom is better then stock
  8. Nope. It's on my list of things to do to the car. I put in a request on in the market place.
  9. A good place for Paint Kit for repair chips and scratchs is www.paintchipkit.com they can match any color and it's a kit so you get everything you need. I think it's on sale right now. On the stickers I sell some stuff that is for removing adhesive it's like $8 a can. I have never tried it though so I couldn't tell you if it's good or not.
  10. These are street treads. I got stuck at one point, but just rocked it a bit and got right out. My friend and I are pretty good and getting unstuck. Happens all the time in my driveway.
  11. My friend shot some video and pictures of offroading today. Movie #1 Movie #2 Movie #3 Sorry about that for all the dialup users.
  12. My mother in laws 1998 OBS does it till it warms up. They told her to run 5w-30 in it.
  13. Well, Since there have been no speak ups I think we will go with the 24th and 25th of June. We have room for camping and what not on our property so anyone making a long trek is more then welcome to hang out all weekend. We have a few people one the roster. Let me know I am making a list. I also have information posted at www.4x4roo.com
  14. Hrmm. I must not know how to measure then. These are only a little more then the ones on my dl with I was told was like 3 something backspacing. I dunno I do know that the center of these wheels was not quite big enuff. I had to do some forcing. not bad for only $25 tho.
  15. These tires are like 7 - 7.5 inches wide and I had like 3 inches of clearance. I might be wrong on the backspacing of the rims. I just stuck a tape measure down and eyeballed it. It looked about the same as a regular sube wheel.
  16. These are off a mazda pickup they have a 5" backspacing. The tires are 215/70r14's I only had to trim in front of the front wheel a little bit. I drilled em and had them sandblasted and painted for $12 a wheel. The wagon is scheduled to have body work done and get painted silver. I will then do some blue graphics of some sort down the side of the car.
  17. HAAA! These are not mud tires. They are street treads. I just had them laying around from an old truck. They did ok in the mud yesterday, but I would prefer some big lug or something.
  18. Got my new wheels installed. Tell me what you think. Before After new wheels

  20. Hrmm how far are you from me? if you have ea82 stuff that needs removed I would be much obliged to make the trek and relieve you of some unneeded back ache.
  21. So I was wondering if anyone knows the readings on a temp guage on an ea82 since it just shows C and H on it. I would like to know what the heck they consider hot and what they consider cold and certainly what is the middle? Lastly where should my guage be with a 180 t stat?
  22. Still hashing it out. Any dates any better for anyone? If not I will open calendar and pick.
  23. Is Erie better or should I keep in closer to home? I can provide a place for tent and a hot shower at my place. ALso, we got some offroading around if anyone is up for that. My just do it right here in my field (the meet that is). Then I have the grill and comfy chairs.
  24. My uncle always roller paints his cars. He uses rustoleum paint and a roller. Uses a detail brush around all the trim and things. It's not perfectly smooth but from about 5ft it looks fine. He usualy puts decals on and trim pieces to hide it a bit later. Usually looks good. I would think if you buffed it out (which he doesn't do) that you could get it pretty nice looking. He has even made stensils out of card board for design. He had a truck with an american flag painted across it. Now he has a little yota truck that is army green with a big white star on the door. I have done 3 rattle can paint jobs now that aren't bad. just make sure the wind is not blowing. Made a real mess that way and had to do it over. Get creative!
