  10. Outback sport those cars are the champ !!! buy that one imprezas seem to holdup the best many round here with 400000kms on them All 2.5s will need headgaskets at some point
  11. I use a memery saver is only for 05 and up cars with drive by wire to save idle settings and ecu memery on pre 05 cars no piont. But very critical that 1 the key is off all the time two nothing else at all is on and 3 negative last to be disconected and last to be reconected. If you putt + termanal on after - termanal can damage ecu or other curcits had a 07 outback that customer just riuned ecu by changing his own battery hooked up + last and small spark and check engine light and no idle. My memery saver is only 10 amp so any more drw than that will pop fuse
  12. Have 20 of those heads and one compleate good engine from 05 forester heads 200 a set engine 1200 $ new belt wp idler valve cover gaskets ect they are in very high demand and i sell everyone i get and buy all from local yards and still not enuff 2.5s to go round
  13. Use a outback one 90 % more reliabble and easy to find will have to modify wire harness but a good fix
  14. have a rebiult ea82 bottom end been sitting on shelf for 8 years from 85 mpi non turbo car new rings and rod berrings if yours is damaged
  15. Throttle body hard stop must be set right or dosent make idle contact in tps and will not let ecu gointo idle mode
  16. seals skf #20447 # 20445 berrings 6207j x4 2 per side seals 2 per side
  17. any 94 and older 2.2 head on 2.5 is non interferance engine have made a few now must use thick headgasket from 2.5d but works fine and have used 2.2 heads on 2.51s and 2.53s. The ej 1.8 is probly the toughest ej engine and the ea81 is toughest ea engine but has weak pistons ej not as weak pistons
  18. Sounds like exsesive clearance in forward clutchpack first app is just taking up clearance has to fill the space before it shifts
