1989 Justy On the passenger side of the carb is a port with a long hex fitting. It has a vacume line coming off it. There is another vacume line that is smaller right next to it. I did not know that was leading into the fitting with the hex. i tought i would unscrew that port to get to the other vac line. I snapped the port. The carb is gong to a rebuilder and may be able to be braised back on I have no idea. Anyone have this part of the Justy people?

usually there is a black box that is used to correct it, but usually it is just easier to get a GPS, check the 30, 45, 55, 65, 75 numbers and just put it in your memory. It will be even all across the board, but just nice to make sure.

I have no idea why you think it is under the hood or why you are going to remove the shifter. On no subaru is it under the hood. It is a short cable UNDER the car between the tranny and the shifter. It is serviced UNDER the car. I would just get it up on jackstands with the stands on thick and long planks, or get some freinds together and push. I have a dirt driveway I have done both when I have had to, and no garage.

fuel smell inside the cabin
nipper replied to dwuollet's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Slight fuel line leak, but it would start by looking at the charcoal canister, purge valave, evap system. -
The easy way is to pull it through the firewall (I used the gas pedal cable hole). Run it under the dash, then behind the kick panel. I think i removed the panel to get the wire through. I then laid the wire out from the kick panel to the rear of the car. GENTLY push it up under the trim panels all the way up to the back seat. Run the wire under the back seat. depending upon the year the floor in the rear floats above the metal floor. Run the wire under that floor to whereever you want it to go. I have done this for 4 wires with no issues.

I think i may be in trouble The punch list is much shorter and may require a call to my Insurance company soon. I flushed the cooling system (1 gallon) Flushed the CVT Tranny (4 qts Mobil one). Backed the Justy out of the driveway to do the coolant, yes i am evil and dumped the coolant all over the road. IN the process of backing it out, the Justy took off like a bat out of hell. On a justy CVT the CVT operates Forwards AND in reverse. That was too much fun. The car drives like it is on rails. this does not bode well for my insurance rates.
