  1. Im looking for some images of 15" Peugeot alloys that have been painted black. I know there are some members with black Pug alloys on their cars. Need them for a photoshop job. -Brian
  2. Check your coil and all your wires. Most often with this problem we find the coil has a very weak spark, or one of your wires is grouding out somewhere. -Brian
  3. SWEEEET!!!! No offence to Zap, but the HP definatly needs a dedicated cameraman... and there's none better than you. Well, Noah is a good choice too. But he's kinda far away. -Brian
  4. Have you tried oven cleaner? I use that stuff to remove the adhesive from stickers all the time. Not sure how harsh it is on paint, but has never damaged my legacy's paint. -Brian
  5. This is a snow trip, not a mud trip. I will be in my turbo legacy, there will be a few other legacy's and maybe even 1 SVX along for the ride. What I really want to find is a large parking lot, or clear opening where we can get alittle crazy in our cars on the snow. We'll save the off-road & mud runs for when I got another lifted rig -Brian
  6. Oh yeah, forgot there were 360 degrees in a circle. Correction, 90 degree's to lock/unlock. -Brian
  7. I kinda like Kuhmo for their value, but im sick of driving on crap tires (all my cars have had em) and looking for something alittle more stickier. I dont want to end up sliding into another guardrail Ive heard good things about Nitto, i'll have to check into them. -Brian
  8. Thinking alittle wider than 195... maybe 205 or 215 if they'll fit. I think the pug rims are 6" wide if i remember correctly. Any tire recommendations? -Brian
  9. Yeah, you'll want to turn the key 45 degree's clockwise to lock the hatch. And to unlock it just turn it back until the key is vertical. You should be able to remove the key once its been turned clockwise to keep the hatch locked. -Brian
  10. I wanna get some nice tires in R15 size. They'll be mounted to 15" Pug Alloys for street use. I'll be using them on a EA82, so Im not sure what is the apropriate size for best performance. They'll be primarily for street use but I want to avoid any rubbing issues. Also, money is always a concern. Does anyone have any recommendations for a well ballanced tire on the cheap? -Brian
  11. Yup, 1983 Is when Subaru introduced the EA81T which came with MPFI. -Brian
  12. Doyle grade sounds good too. Never been there, but isnt that where you guys were off-roading? Ive invited a few other turbo legacy's along. And might even have an Impreza or two following. -Brian
  13. There are 4 14mm bolts that hold the bumper to the frame, and then there are some small 10mm bolts on either side of the fenders to hold the bumper ends onto the fender. Not long at all to remove. If your bolts arent rusted it shouldnt take longer than 20min to remove the bumper. Although most the bumpers ive removed ive ended up fighting with the bolts for an hour or so. Those bolts see the worse amount of weather, and are usually stuck. -Brian
  14. Its not going to be a wheelin trip. It will be a road trip. The majority of us will most likely be in Legacy's and street rigs. I just wanna get a chance to drive in some snow -Brian
  15. Alot can happen in a week or two JB better come along... and I wanna see him in that brat -Brian
  16. OMG WHAT HAPPEND!?!?! and you said you had it towed back... so its STILL not running??? -Brian
  17. Dave, we need to take a pre-lim trip to see if silverfork is accessable. Last time I tried to get up there in the winter the main road was closed, but I was thinking of gaining access from the tract further up 50. It will most likely be a sunday becuase sunday's work best for me, and probably everyone else. -Brian
  18. Ah, the memories Here's a pic of my 1st subaru. Thats me standing next to it, the day after I bought it. I was 17 and it was my 1st car. Its all been downhill from there -Brian
  19. The car your mother is leaning against is a EA81 Wagon, between the years 1981-1984. You can tell because there is a door seam right infront of the rear wheel arch. A hatchback wouldnt have a door right there. -Brian
  20. After Thanksgivng but before Christmas I'd really love it if you and your brother could join us. Just a day trip up hwy 50 in search of snow. Maybe I80 outside of truckee. -Brian
  21. Im thinking its time to take the subes into the snow. Anyone around here feel the same way? I dont have a time frame in mind, thinking in the next week or 2 after Thanksgiving but before Christmas. Whats everyone think?? -Brian
  22. Your looking at around $250 for a custom exhaust. If you want a custom Y pipe with that exhaust add another $75-$100 to the job. If you find a local muffler shop, most can give you quotes. There's a how-to somewhere out there on making an adapter for a cone airfilter. I'll have to try to find it. -Brian
  23. Ever try to smoke all 4 with any FT4WD or AWD car??? I dont think traction is his problem. -Brian
  24. I didnt know they had headlight washer nossels on the australian rigs. Thats pretty cool. -Brian
  25. I cant get a good launch in my Legacy without slipping the clutch alittle. The EJ22T is nothing like the EA82T so I dunno exactly how to launch a RX. But with the Legacy I like to get the engine up to where it should produce most its power (i guess 2500-3500) and then start to let off the clutch. Once the clutch grabs enough to move the car, i then romp on the gas and let off the clutch at the same time. Usually the clutch is fully dissengaged while the engine is accelerating back to its 3000-3500 range and im ready to try 2nd at about 6k. Thats where my problem runs... it usually takes me too long to shift into 2nd and my competition is ahead of me. Although I dont ever drag race (no... really) i do like to get off the line in a timely manner And my car just sounds so good accelerating its something i feel obliged to do. -Brian
