  1. Here's what i did on my RX's grill. The coupe's have a different style grill, so you cannot to the same with a Wagon/Sedan grill.
  2. I remember these guys from way back, and im glad to see them still active. Shocked this is their first post, but welcome!! At this years West Coast Subaru Show, they had an award for the highest mileage Subaru. 360k roughly I think, but there were three others from what I understand that were 350+ or close.
  3. Looks like it would double as a Stump Puller! I love it!
  4. haha i might just do that! Everyone on the trail was askin me about it, wondering if the truck was powered by a Subaru motor. I had to explain the joke to most of em. Link me to the YT thread, i think i have an account over there too.
  5. DO EEET!!! that was 2nd on my list with my old truck... I got the highsteer done but never did the flip kit. I bought this 4Runner with it already done. Definatly look into a highsteer if you ever want to try to push rocks out of the way with your tires.
  6. Now I am jealous! A front locker would make things about 5x easier. But I watched Toyotas walk through stuff with open fronts, and pass broken Yeeps
  7. That is gonna be HUGE! Maybe instead of hacking it up, find someone who can use it. they'd probably pay big bucks for it, and then use that money to get something more custom for the EA81.
  8. I added 1% subaru to my 4Runner over the weekend. Everybody at camp got a kick out of it:
  9. Was invited to hang with some friends at Fordyce lake this year for Labor Day weekend. Fordyce lake drains and creates the famous Fordyce Creek, which has some of the craziest rocks in California. If the Rubicon is a 10, most will tell you that Fordyce is a 11.5 We camped at the lake, and I only took the trail as far as the first water crossing. The creek was flowing above average and i didn't want to risk crossing the river, so I just played around all weekend going back and forth from camp to the river... and watching all the other built up rigs do their thing. Here are a few pix, but the rest can be found here: http://gallery.campkarwoski.com/main.php?g2_itemId=345 And here is a shot of the lake, from our campsite: And here are a few pix of the trail leading to the river & 1st crossing. I was the one taking the pix, and unfortunately nobody got pix of my 4Runner running this trail. You can find all the trail pix here: http://gallery.campkarwoski.com/main.php?g2_itemId=29 It was a ton of fun! Some of the first real crawling I have got to do in the 4Runner, and she did great. I went easy on her, and she treated me kind on the drive home. The trail is more than a 90min drive each way... but she hauled all my camping gear up there and back, and did roughly 18miles of hard-core trails all weekend long.
  10. Two Words: SUPER SWAMPERS
  11. David I am so happy for You & Lisa! Everybody at camp was alittle worried when you guys split suddendly, but your phonecall to Jibs on Sunday helped ease us. Tell Lisa I'll get that goodbye hug when I come up to visit
  12. Looks like alot of work, i'd rather just pay a pro to do it. Unless you are swapping tires every other weekend or something. And i bet with a bit of lube, that guy wouldn't be trying to wreck his back?
  13. Invest some money on good lighting. You will be thanking yourself later.
  14. His board name is P K (with a space in between)
  15. Thats the only pic i got of clifford. The repair being made Sunday morning.
  16. PK still floats around, but I do not think he operates Ozified any longer. Good thing we have a ton of new ballplayers who have stepped up to the plate. Bill O. SJR. HTi. I even saw Albie at the WCSS pushin EA82 lifts again... so, plenty of places to get your lift on still.
  17. The united states only got the Brat until 1987. The turbo engine in the XT has overhead cams, and is wider than the engine in your Brat. They have been swapped before, so I know it can be done. But I believe you have to do some trimming to make it fit. It should bolt right up to your tranny. However, the turbo motor requires a ECU so you have to swap all the wiring and computer with it.
  18. Wow thats good news. I was thinking camping right next to that bike path might not have been such a good idea... at least keeping our cars parked so close with windows rolled down & doors unlocked. I doubt it was anyone at the show who did it, most likely a bum strolling through the park late at night, taking advantage of the situation.
  19. That doesnt count. Just turned out that the negative battery clamp was too large, and alittle help from the wheel weight on my spare... problem solved I was expecting to at least change a wheel bearing somewhere in the middle of Oregon.
  20. Rob, where are your photos stored? Briggs, I cant find yours either.
  21. Thanks a million Tex for making sure this show happend! You know you'll see me again next year!! Here are a couple pix of some old school Winnars... SuberDave & Baccaruda, posing with their awards & standing next to their cars.
