  1. I tried it. The EA81 5spd console is way bigger than the 4WD
  2. The 2WD shifter sits farther back than the 4WD. No it will not fit, not even modifications will allow it. You would have to destroy the console or move your shifter.
  3. Wow dude... .kids? I cant imagine you being responsible for someone else thats cool about the ranch, hope everything works out for you two.
  4. For $3000, look for a legacy. For $2000 you can find a real decent one between '91-'93, and spend the extra $1000 on new tires or something. For $3000 you maybe able to find a newer legacy in the 95-97 Range. -Brian
  5. Its some aftermaket scoop. Manufactured to look like the WRX scoop but is slightly smaller so it fits the EA82 hood. Only one I have seen is Calebs. I think there are a couple more, but no idea who makes em.
  6. ELI!!!! What the F man!?!?!?! NEBRASKA?? Could you move even farther from me next time? How are you and Jessica doing? Hope the law didnt run you out of AZ. Sucks to hear you dont have the brat or SVX anymore. But its good to hear your still alive. Been worryin about you bro.
  7. Most places wont even hook it to their machine if the CEL is on.
  8. Use two of them HAHA, yeah that is pretty small... thought it was bigger.
  9. Its cool, im glad you did. That was the only measurement I wasnt 100% on. Its been so long since I did mine. And I think this scoop looks way cool. If it fits the hump of the EA82 hood, i think it would fit the body lines nicely.
  10. 1.75" hehehe, looks like I was right. Damn my memory, i guess im not getting old afterall!
  11. I have the EA82T engine section in PDF format. I will find it when I get home and send you a copy. I dont think it covers anything but the motor but its invaluable.
  12. well cause the donut is a temp rim & tire. They are 16" steels and are definatly not made to be used as a daily tire. The EA series subarus were never offered with anything larger than 13" rims, but all their spares are 15". Anyhow, thats what I hear about the WRX springs. If you get wagon springs they are supposed to be even stiffer in the rear.
  13. Are you in the US? Cause '91 Legacy's came with 14" rims and the SS came with 15" Alloys. And no, the SVX's suspension is different. I believe if you use WRX springs you will gain some height in the rear end.
  14. Not a dumb question cause no it isnt :-p
  15. $1200 is a good ballpark for any dependable Brat out there. I would say advertise it for $1500 and expect $1200.
  16. Pictures will help in this case. If it is 100% rust free (and i mean RUST FREE) and all the body panels match. You can expect to see at least $2000 in todays e-bay market. If it runs great and has less than 100,000 miles add another $750-$1000. If you have had it garaged for the past 20 years add another $3000. If its a bucket, dont expect any more than an average EA81. >$1000 -Brian
  17. I sold it to buy my turbo legacy. I didnt want to fight california smog anymore, and the EA82T was so far modified I knew it wouldnt pass. So i bought a car I knew would. I sold it to some kid on craigslist. Last i heard, he sold it again... and I havent seen it since
  18. Yeah, i miss that car. Sometimes wish i never sold it.
  19. You can use the carbbed block with the turbo heads and turbo junk to make alittle more low end power. Intercooling and propper tuning is a must. Also, I believe the fuel lines in the turbo car are going to be higher pressure than the carbbed, so you would need to swap the lines as well. If the motor is bad, just get a complete gasket kit from felpro. Tear it down and rebuild using your carbbed block. Keep the boos low and you should have alot of fun.
  20. I ran the 205/60R13 Sumimoto's on my RX with these rims: I dont think these rims are any wider than the stock 13" steels you posted. I dont think you will have any problems. -Brian
  21. You can weld just about anything. However, you will find steering very difficult with a welded wear end in the snow. The rear will over power the front... however, you will be unstoppable. -Brian
  22. My buddies Girlfriend is too affraid to take her Digital out into the woods... so she usually brings 2 or 3 disposable camera's. I bought the truck with the shocks setup like that. I guess I cant complain. In that pic you quoted, I backed into the water. Then put the truck in 2WD and dumped the clutch I am sitting in sand, and I knew exactly what was going to happen. After having alittle fun, I put the truck back into 4WD Low and then the front started to dig. After alittle fancy clutchwork, i was able to walk out of the hole. Was still a blast. -Brian
