Been on the USMB for a long time. Love working on rust free CO Subarus. I hit the Junk yards often. My full time job is a Maintenance Instructor for SkyWest Airlines, so I travel a lot. If you need help, let me know. Larry

SkyWest Airlines, whom I teach maintenance classes for is building a Hangar there. If I get up there to teach, we could get together for a cold one.

If you ever get up to the USA, Colorado Springs, CO let me know. I have a spare you can drive and plenty of extra room.

Did you find what you needed? Welcome!

25% off online parts orders are nice! Sorry Ryan left parts, he was Great. Posting older Subaru's or ones that need some work here before they go to auction would be Supper! Thanks, Larry -
Has to be easy to use otherwise the Owner won't. If the SOB is planning the theft they may be watching, so if the Owner goes into the trunk each time the enter or leave the car, that would give it away. Drive an old car and leave it open, if they take it, just go get another with all the insurance money you have saved

Subaru Parts? The metal crush gasket should seal fine. If not I'd pull the plug and check the hole for defects, dented, cracked... Pretty thick metal so you could sand flat if needed. -
Have a 2002 LEGACY OUTBACK, the hood and roof were significantly crazed and some rust showing through. A co-worker paints on the side. I dropped the headliner So I could pull the roof rack. 80 nuts and bolts later it was off. I could see runt under the primer inside the car. The fellow who did the paint for me said there was rust under the primer on the outside as well. So it looks like Subaru had a paint process problem that allowed some surface rust to form be for the car was painted. Looks nice $400 just in materials!
