  1. Thanks Morgan. Very much appreciated!!
  2. Hatch struts are shorter.
  3. Tsk, tsk... I hope my daughter doesn't read this. I know a few other "girls" that would take exception to such a comment as well.
  4. Depending on the wheels and tires you are running it can add stresses to the bearings. When I did the solid rear axle swap into my BRAT I had to add 2 1/2" per side to match the Subaru track. I didn't have any issues but, I just didn't like running them. Many people are using them to correct tracking issues. Just my preference.
  5. 4X140mm I have run spacers on my offroad Brat. They work but I still don't really like them.
  6. KYB's are offered for the RX. The original sring rates were slightly higher than the average GL. Body roll isn't controlled so much with the shock/struts as a larger sway bar. I believe the RX had either an 18 or 19mm bar. The XT6 has a 20mm rear bar. That with new bushings will reduce some of the roll.
  7. That may be true with Legacy's that came with 14's stock. However, the Turbo's came with 15's and bigger brakes. Besides, today's aftermarket wheels tend to be lighter weight.
  8. I love our Legacy's as well. We own two, a '92 Turbo wagon and a '93 L. Both are AWD auto's and running strong.
  9. My guess is the ignitor. It is located on the coil bracket. It controls fuel pump functions as well. If the belts look OK that is the next step.
  10. The USRM(Ultimate Subaru Repair Manual) is located in the header at the top of the page.
  11. The check engine light lets you know a code has been stored. The 32 is saying that the ECU has recorded an out of spec reading(I think). Basically, you need to replace the O2 sensor or clean the connections of any signs of corrosion.
  12. Returned to topic. Brian still does motors(on the side). I suggest you go talk with him. Or if you'd prefer I can do it for you. You'd end up with a new in spec rebuilt motor. Let me know what you want to do.
  13. Just call them and ask them which cams are available for the EA82-T. Then ask which cam fits your needs.
  14. KYB GR2's Front, 234046 and 234047 Rear, 341065 As listed for '85-86 wagons.
  15. All you need to understand this person is look at his ratings. Has numerous complaints about incorrect descriptions.
  16. Both of the above answers will cause this. I doubt it seriously that there is a problem with your transmission. My money lies in the stripped hub. Very easy fix if the splines on the axle are still good. Four bolts plus the axle nut is all that hold it on. You don't even have to mess with the brakes to repair this.
  17. You will find little, if any, info on them here in the states.
  18. Uh, no. I have had my old GL10 turbo sedan, XT6 and Legacy Turbo wagon over 100.
  19. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/80s/wheels2/wheels.html You can find this and other stuff by clicking on the homepage link above. From there click on 80's Subaru's. Then you'll see many different links.
  20. If it is a BYB/Ozified lift just contact PK.
  21. I think you need to contact CCR and find out if any shops in your area are Subaru friendly. Ideally, you want someone who actually knows something about your car to work on it. This shop obviously does not. You can access the regs via the internet as well. Maybe brush up on what is allowed and what is not. There are way too many prepared cars in Cali to not allow mods to your car.
  22. OK, which one of the gearheads from Aarons finally made it here? BTW, this is Ken.
