  1. Are they different tires than the ones that were on there when you put them up for sale in the marketplace?
  2. Last one we did, the car was left with only body, glass, doors and dashpad.. everything else went on the shelves.
  3. Similar situation recently in my turbowagon.. turned out to be the MAF
  4. No BS.. its true.. Motor needs to be lifted to remove the crosover pipe on a turbo. Its not that big of a deal to lift the motor a little.. 2 14mm nuts(not 10mm as stated in other post) EDIT.. just noticed the other threads.. your answers are there.
  5. Sooo.. what did you do to get the rear pieces to fit?
  6. 87 GL-10 Turbo here (mostly, its also part 86, 88, 89, part peugeot, mazda, honda and mitsubishi) Welcome. Theres much knowledge to be gained here.
  7. While I agree that they are silly, I think that question in equally silly in regards to our 15+ year old cars.. That train of thought completely nullifies the possible benefits of any modification.
  8. Possibly a binding problem.. check to make sure all 4 tires match size/brand/tire pressure/wear
  9. I have a bridge to sell you ... CHEAP!! Ever heard the term Snake oil?
  10. Same here.. I have an 88 thats going bye bye soon.. let me know what you need and I'll check the stash.
  11. Here's an EA82T http://usmb.net/albums/albuo11/Car_001.sized.jpg
  12. You're more of a man than I am.. I hacked a hole and stuck on a premade scoop:)
  13. Oob. Maybe try something like this http://usmb.net/albums/albuo11/ebay_010.jpg
  14. Those blocks are supposed to be only 2 inches. Its OK.. It does change the driveline angle a little, but not much. Also, I don't recall the struts being any harder to get back in place, but its been a year since we did it....
  15. Ice will form.. quickly Cold air good.. Ice bad.
  16. No one has touched on the Subaru badge being number one in the gay community......
  17. They are designed to leak.. thats why there are four drain tubes.. one at each conrner.. if one (or more ) of those is plugged, you get wet.
  18. If you ca'n't weld aluminum, or find someone that can, you're stuck. At least with that style of valve. If you could find a flush mount, like the WRX BPV, you could get away without welding anything.. but it would take a lot of sealant. Added note. If you are running stock boost, the BPV is unnecessary.. if you are much above stock boost, you should have an IC, which will change the way the BPV is plumbed anyway.
  19. Theres a couple of people that have redrilled their hubs to 4x100.. wider aftermarket selection that way.
  20. One option is a MegaSquirt/MegaJolt type setup.. Do away wth the nedfor the soob ECU altogether.
  21. Hell yeah vicky! New cars are for people that can. New cars are also for people that want a good warranty. Most people that say new cars are for suckers have never owned a new car and have no idea how nice it is to just have it taken care of for free if something goes wrong. Theres also a bit to be said for knowing that no one else has beat the crap out of the car but you;) Just be sure you buy the car from a dealership with a good service history.. if the service at the closest Subaru dealership sucks, it might be worth it to drive to the next town or whatever to buy from a better dealership.. We have people from Austin that drive up to Dallas to have service performed on their soobs becuase the dealership down there sucks.
  22. This board is the single most complete in depth source of info for swapping trannies. A quick search should yeild some pretty enlightening results.. Lots of us have done it, myself included. Heres one http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=15648&highlight=manual+swap Some info about neutral safety switches http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=15153&highlight=manual+swap
  23. Its kinda strange.. When my 87 EA82T ECU went out, I had to replcae it with one from another 87.. I had one from an 88, but it had different numbers.. I tried it anyway and it didn't work(it did work in the car it came out of however)... On the other hand, when I was recently working on diagnosing some preoblems with an 88, I tried my ECU from my 87 in it(again, different numbers) and it worked. I have heard you can use an N/A ECU, but only from an MPFI car.
