  2. That info would have helped in my response. Put what ever you want on your hood, I've seen 5gal buckets cutout and used for hoodscoops before.
  3. Have you checked the crankcase for coolant? Like NW said, coolant will ruin the bearings.
  4. You need to find a XT turbo hood. And I might have one.
  5. Theres also Richie and his Dads shops, 2 locations around PDX. http://www.fixmysuby.com/
  6. We got about 4-5in in our area. This was a strange storm tho. Moist cold air from the Gulf of Alaska and then cold air coming down from Canada. It came in waves and pockets her and there. Seattle had just a trace, yet areas south, east and north got scattered amounts. Some areas got dumped on and others got zip. I'm happy we got some, but bummed I cant go out and play in it. The fiancée has been home the last 2 days I also heard that this storm might push far enough south for it to snow in San Fran.
  7. Just curious, how much did you pay for that trim from the dealer?
  8. Dang it, I looked for that thread and couldnt find it Thanks NW.
  9. Good gov gear = [] Applecored gov gear = )( There were some pics sometime in the past, but it appears they are gone. I would disassemble the valve and clean it good. Ah, I found a old article. It has pics, but not of a cored out gov. http://web.archive.org/web/20050227203610/www.usmb.net/repair/?CurrentDirectory=FOLDER_3f29b58f50d9b8.15492800/&FileType=Article&File=ARTICLE_3f57fdb83de231.34713659.art
  10. A lot of times the temp gauge wont register a correct temp because of a lack of water. Make sure the water is topped off to get a accurate reading.
  11. What color are you looking for? Have you posted in the Wanted forum yet?
  12. Yup, I'm about 7mi away. Might have time in the late afternoon to look at it, maybe. I have to work on my nieces 04 Malibu tomorrow :-\
  13. Its possible the t-stat is stuck, but I doubt it. Its most likely a headgasket is bad.
  14. Get the belts and timing correct first.. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=50768&highlight=timing+belt Then if it still has problems do more trouble shooting.
  15. The 85 and 86 RX trans is part time 4wd with D/R. The gearing is the same as the S/R trans. And its still 3.7 ratio.
  16. This is the winch on my Hatch. Its a Warn 6000 mounted to a standard winch bumper thats mounted to a steel channel front bumper. It has pretty beefy mounting brackets mounting it to the frame rails. I have actually bent the mounts winching myself (and others) over the years.
  17. I guess have a try at the modulator then. I'm far from a guru when it comes to a transmission, but I would say if this doesnt do the trick I would be looking for a replacement or swap in a 5spd. Not sure how your missus would like that, but it would solve having to deal with it again. This make of trans from Subaru is notorious for going bad and fixing one is more costly than replacing.
  18. Its a solenoid valve, part of the EGR system. You can use one off of your other intake. Just be careful, they are usually pretty brittle.
  19. You could try draining-replacing the fluid. Not sure I would do a flush on it, may be more hurtful than helpful. I dont think theres a filter for it either, my parts book doesnt show one.
  20. Try doing a search for EA82T, should come up with a few results. Dont expect a lot of them to be good tho. I see you're some what local, if you want help or parts just let me know.
  21. I would have posted this link earlier, but it was borked. Now fixed. http://www.indysworld.com/80s/general/USRM/Transmission/Governor/ATgovenorclean.htm
