  1. Most of it is squeegeed out during the application, the rest evaps.
  2. Its the PNW! The closer you get to Puget Sound, the more you run into the "convergence zone". With the Olympics and Cascades splitting up storm fronts, you never know whats going to happen.
  3. Nope, you cant use AT radius caps with a MT trans. And vice versa.
  4. Less than 50mi away from Zap and all we got was a dusting
  5. Turbone

    Shoot.

Drop the rear diff down some.
  6. Code 11 is Ignition Pulse, so it could be the pick up. I had one on a EA81T wagon die on me before, so its entirely possible.
  7. When was the last time you did the t-belts? Almost sounds like one side is off. And/or something is dumping excess fuel and its getting into the turbo.
  8. Parallel is what I meant (fever from pneumonia fogs mind). Brent, hook it up like you have in your diagram. I used jumper cables doing mine, worked fine.
  9. Welcome to USMB. We take Subaru to another level here I think the Canadian version had a EA71, but I'm not 100% sure of that. All the 81's and up that I've seen have been EA81 tho. There are lots of upgrades you can do to it, rear disc brakes, Weber carb, 5spd swap....the list goes on. If you cant find info doing a search, just ask. For examples of modified Hatches, do a user name search of Pooparu in the Retrofit forum and mine in Offroad.
  10. Go ahead and throw away a perfectly good battery folks. Mine is almost 2yrs old and I restored it. Please read the following, its from Optimas own site. http://www.optimabatteries.com/product_support/faqs.php By using another battery in parallel, it fools the charger into thinking its charging a battery thats got 10.5v. I also bolded a few things to point out some misconceptions. More useful info from Batteries Are Us. http://www.batteriesareus.com/index.php?main_page=page&id=2 I'll gladly take any redtops that you want to toss away.
  11. The trick to recharging a redtop is to use another battery with it. Put the charger on a standard wetcell, then jumper cables to the redtop. Charge overnight and it should be like new. I used this technique with the redtop in my Brat and I can let it sit for days without draining.
  12. Welcome back! Keep us updated with your plans, etc. Looks like you got a lot of catching up to do
  13. Comparing apples to oranges there with the 6cyl. This a 4 cyl and will run at higher rpm's. My Brat has a 5spd in it and runs at 2800 doing 65mph. My RX runs at 3100 at the same speed.
  14. Seriously? Are you snowed in or just really bored? Why would you resurrect a 7yr old thread to just to make a point with someone that only comes around every couple of years?
  15. Jack for a 83-84 Turbo Coupe/Wagon/Brat. They are not the same as the others. Oh, and I have that disty shield on my Hatch.
  16. I dont think a EA82 will work as they flare out at the base. Not sure about the spline count.
  17. I would go with the 2.5, that way you can keep it OBDII. Your also going to need a turbo crossmember I believe.
  18. 89 RX EJ22T with RX trans. XT6 control arms. All XT6 rear (except trailing arms) XT6 sways, front and rear. 95 Imp front hubs, axles and brakes. GC coilovers with Eibach 250 rear, 400 front (stiff!) 17' ADR Sokudo wheels with Yokohama rubber (Summer) 16' WRX wheels with Hankook Icebears (Winter)
  19. Dont know if this had trailer brakes or not, I never talked to the guy About 4-5yrs ago I used my 86 T-Wagon to move. I hauled all kinds of stuff in a 4x8 trailer, plus the back of the wagon. Only went about 4mi each way, but never had a problem (no pics).
