October 15, 200421 yr hoy many would be interested in a 5 lug kit that is as simple as... jack up car, 4-19 MM nuts..1-36MM nut...4-14MM bolts...all those off...and then...4-14, 1-36, 5-xxMM nuts on....put the car down...and then repeat x3...and you have 5 lug...? Bascially...having NEW hubs machined for 5x100. Interest? Also...what would you be willing to pay?

October 16, 200421 yr I'm very interested, I don't know that I'm up for $200 for all 4, but if it were closer to $30 a piece, and depending on shipping, I'd be in. especially if it didn't happen until spring, that would fit better with MY project anyway. I also assume these would be for 4 wheel disc brakes (not an issue here)

October 16, 200421 yr even at $200 for 4 would they come with new studs and lugnuts? new bolts or would one reuse the bolts and lugnuts? what about the disc brakes? whould the disks be reused or would remanu's or new be part of the mod?
October 16, 200421 yr well if you just use hubs..your missing out on brake and front suspension upgrades that can be had with the xt6 swap..

I'm thinking not more than $20-30 bucks a wheel. Then again, I'm poor, and it'd be a stretch for me to get TO that price point, much less past it.

October 16, 200421 yr Author These units would include studs and nuts...but would only be a direct swap on 4 wheel disc cars...as the drums...from what Ive seen...would need to be remade as well to maintain 5 lug and rear drums...and you can use stock rotors. Remember...I am working on a brake upgrade as well.

Investment casting (sand, lost foam?) does not come cheap. After casting it must be machined in several ways. The face must be machined and drilled and then the splines machined into the inner bore. I don't know what you guys pay for machine work but 20 dollars would not even get one unit chucked up in most shops. Maybe if you place an order for several hundred? Me thinks this brainstorm is going to turn into a drizzle once the real price/unit is revealed.

I know that the stock hubs from SUBARU and elsewhere are really...not cheap...
October 23, 200421 yr what about making an adapter plate that you that you could bolt onto the stock hud it would be easier, cheaper, and would work on rear drum brakes just an idea

October 23, 200421 yr i can get some hardened stainless steal to hake them out of really cheap or free so i don't think strength would be a problem as far as wearing out bearings get a deeper wheel offset again i'm not sure if it would work
October 23, 200421 yr if you make a plate that bolts to the lugs, it will push the wheel out more THUS you will need a wheel with more offset than stock to fit corectly. and if it goes to a smaller 4 lug like 4x100 it will be hard to get rims that fit. <for street cars>. id imagine offroaders want the wheels to stick out
