  6. Yeah, I finally posted it to pirate.Let the flaming ensue :)lol I have done a couple things
  7. Suzuki samurai u joints fit. I redid the two in my driveline with those. I will try to remember to look at the part number when I get home. I went with a spicer u joint I think. The difference in the caps was like 1mm from the Subie to Zuki... I have a video in the build thread of Stella on page ten.
  8. They are known to sell alot of those tires on ebay.I bought 15's, but I remember seeing 14's too.
  9. On the contrary, IF YOUR vehiclee is carb'ed, It WILL help.Every one of the cars stated was FI. I have gutted every cat I have had on carbed vehicles and noticed a difference. When you gut the cat, start looking at the Intake next.more flow out can use more flow in. Your friend is wrong , kinda. The numbers are TO high. But there are results. cheers
  10. Being frugal has helped on the hard parts.I got a lot of stuff on sale, traded for some of it, and got some of it for gifts.I would say can't be over 1500 though......And that's with awesome rebuild parts. It has been over a matter of a couple years too. But, no idea really
  11. Never should have used them as such.OLD tech there..... Only thing to do is put box tube inside then weld captive nuts. Then tie into top of rear diff mount. SInce it is an offroader, just bolt through the top with backing plates as well. AND learn how to recover without jerking. cheers
  12. So, little stuff.Pluggin slong Got some ARP knuckle studs,Some special metal spindle studs, and some Bobby Long hub chromol;y hub gears. Some ARP hub studs as well. Fresh everything. cheers
  13. That looks like my old brat.......hrrrm. Does the bed have repairs on the wheel wells, and dent/s in the tailgate?
  14. wow, they are dumb criminals. It is really easy to get into those cars. Buy a whole new door. The damage around the handle is likely to make it easier for second attempt. AND, I dunno about you,But my car as a whole is more important than a nice rump roast stereo in a hoopty.rethink your approach .Like mounting the stereo in a lockable console in the middle. etc....
  15. There will always be 44 , right? LOL
  16. jEALOUS .LOVE KOH. Single bumper beam.Tie everything into body mounts , and make extra body mounts.DOH!
  17. THIS THREAD IS WORTHLESS WITHOUT PICS!!
  18. You'll find it difficult to locate the listings of automatics. But basically any 4eat from an EJ series will work. As long as the ratios are the same front and back you are good. I had good luck (well kinda) from an JDM engine importer. You can search your vin number to figure out what yours came with ratio wise. But I am betting it was a 4.44. Search around a little bit. There is plenty of info on this subject here. cheers
  19. monstaru replied to Uberoo's topic in Off Road
Are you serious?Still no pics after all of these years! I would been in front of the ford on 31's,thats for damn sure!
  20. Straddleline is only open for certain weekends out of the year.It is publicly owned ,privately ran. There are only play days currently. And , if your rig is only mildly built I would not suggest it.It is not really fun to get stuck in other peoles way all day. More information at www.promotopromotions.com I would suggest Tahuya. It only requires a disco pass, and is open all the time. cheers
  21. I dunno, that things pretty ugly. Whats her name?
  22. Yeah, If you would have read what I stated, you would see that this is a non-issue.Not concerned, it is an offroad rig.I can circumvent anything I need to. I mean, Is this a vanagon tech thread?Umm, no.It's not. When I finish this swap I will relocate the needed information into an associated thread of importance. As of right now,The only association will be my thoughts and feelings on the entire issue. I need heat, I'll run an open flow heater core, Like my engine is used to..and run a series of fans in accordance with whatever my cooling needs may be. I know it appears I would like to keep (and have said) the stock system. But only in the placement it has for body replacement value. Not necessarily the original components. cheers
  23. I at least got the axle painted. And got the diff stud eliminator kit done. Then polished my balls
  24. I liked the FMIC. I always wante4d to turbo a Brat and then put the radiator in the bed, then tucking the FMIC in tight against the fan belts. nice the way you have it too. cheers
