Rotary powered AWD rx
I can think of several cars worth swapping a rotary into, none made by subaru. whats the deal with the adapter? handmade, kennedy made, or what?

Rx -> Rs swap-o; what do I need?
4.11 is the most common one you will find in NA 90-94 legacies. I made a thread about combining a clutch type LSD and a 4.11 legacy diff and noone really knew, something about the stub axles not matching and the diff carrier having different amounts of ring gear bolts. only fwd imprezas had 23sp. hope that helps,

CIS in ea81...
now, if you were wanting to do a turbo setup, cis e can go the distance but a volvo 240 turbo fuel distributor would be better.

ej22t into ej18
its actually 10 bolts, 4 into the frame, 4 on the rack, and 2 for the control arms. cheapest Ive seen a turbo crossmember go for in a while was 175. custom uppipe means no paying 175 for a turbo crossmember plus a turbo exhaust setup. not swapping crossmembers means not risking breaking steering rack bolts which frequently break. not saying its the best way, but it may be a cheaper way, and is a good alternative if you weld, just a different way to do it.

ej22t into ej18
IIRC you can use the impreza harness and ad the wires for boost stuff. a cheaper option for crossmember is to build a custom uppipe from the NA impreza header to turbo and retain the stock crossmember, could actually be faster/easier than swapping crossmembers and certainly cheaper if you weld.

running on-road with welded spool
anyone here had a CV cryo treated?

90 Legacy w/tcase mod?
widened steelies, custom steelies, maybe $100 a pop from stockton wheel or something like that. 33x13.5 you could still run a 8" wheel too, harder to unseat the bead.

I scored a 1990 legacy wagon! now for power
970subaru replied to A DOG's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXwho said he was going to rice it out? and there are some of the best subaru minds on nasioc, but also the worst. a dog do a bunch of reading over on legacycentral, dont mind manarius. basically, if you have a question about modding the 90-94 legacy, it has been covered, often several times. personally if I was you I'd look into an ej20g(japanese 2.0L single turbo from early-mid 90s) or build some sort of hybrid motor like an ej22e block with ej20g heads or ej25 heads, and a wrx turbo setup.

CIS in ea81...
sorry but why? cis is decent but definitely not worth swapping in to anything.

Duels with a little lift
good way to get stuff out of dually tires is to put a ratchet strap around it, and around a tree or part of the vehicle, then drive in the direction that will pull the piece out.

Will a wrx turbo bolt to a EA82T?
I dunno its probably worth it to try and adapt a vf11, you get them for $100 all day in great condition and they are a nice size for an ea82t. I doubt you could max one out with an ea82t without some serious supporting mods.

HA-HA!!! M4D JDM power...
you going to do any type of seam welding or other reinforcements to the shell?

Lift Bolts
tried tacoma screw? there are a few in the puget sound area.

making power on ea82t
are there any combos of stock parts to get an ea81 with a compression ratio in the mid to low 8's? that ought to stand up to some punishment.
-
making power on ea82t
whats the most reliable power you can get out of a stock internals ea81t, and what are the differences between that and the regular ea81? they sound like an interesting little motor.

Why dont you guys take I.S. to the next level?
so anyone found a source for hummer portal boxes at an ok price? sure would kill a lot of birds with one stone.
-
legacy lift
so does anyone have an idea how much travel legacy axles are good for?
-
ej20tt fuel pump please help
also a wrx stocker would work with the stock setup and be a lot cheaper unless you are planning on upping the boost then go with the walbro.

90 Legacy w/tcase mod?
what front diff and axles setup?
-
ej22 to vw beetle
I think there is some forum for VW swaps that has a section dedicated to the ej swap.

solid engine mounts
who is running some, and how do you like them? main usage? I already fabbed some up out of some old junkers but I am just kinda chicken to install them. car is already loud as f*ck due to catless 2.5" with a small muffler so noise cant get much worse.

EA82 turbo upgrade pics?
my thoughts exactly, but it must be a really good low end torque with that small turbo and compression out the rump roast. maybe some toluene couldnt hurt on the hot days, and I hope its intercooled?

legacy lift
not sure about outback but most every other legacy you can swap struts across sedan to wagon. some will tell you they are different but they should be compatible if you use the whole strut assembly. anyone have an idea how much travel legacy axles can safely cycle? I'm thinking that there are some long strut inserts out there plus some 10 or 12" 150lb coilover springs would flex pretty good. half considering lifting my wagon but will only do it if I can get a bit more travel out of it, and if the axles can accomodate that. could some truck shocks like rancho rs9000's work in a strut capacity or would the side loads be too much? shock could mount inside a strut body and have a pivot at the strut top.

drilled rim question, this is a hard one literaly!
countersink bit? really sharp angled reamer? die grinder?

Upgrading from 2.2 to 2.5 in a 93' Legacy
you treat the shortblock as a direct replacement, everything will swap over onto the ej25 from the ej22 and there are a few things you have to swap like some brackets and things. intake manifold: using the same heads so non issue exhaust manifold:as above, and all dual port ejs use the same pattern. deck height is the same on ALL ejs. ej22t is a great motor sure, but they are now expensive and you will be going to turbo which involves a host of other parts that you need. good thing about the shortblock swap is that it is a drop in replacement with no wiring, converting crossmembers, turbo parts, etc. looks exactly like an NA ej22e from the outside. as far as power, I'd say that my motor is on par with or has a little more power than a stock ej22t. mine has nowhere near ej22t potential of course...
