  1. Somewhere Brat safe? Im down for a camping trip!
  2. If there is one thing I have learned from the many WCSS's i have attended.. ..always bring artificial shade Last Year:
  3. I say on the way home we hit up crater lake again, maybe this time we'll get to see it without a forest fire ruining it.
  4. Im pretty confident these tired old EA81's can get us there and back. Just need to make sure to bring a few spare parts... like alternators, starters, fuel pumps. maybe even distributors. I think im going to spend a week or two workin on the brat, to get it ready for the trip.
  5. I remember that route, its a nice one Dave. Bend is a great place to stay too. When Jibs & I took that route last, we had time to stop at Crater Lake.
  6. I was going to PM all you guys, but this should work faster and we can all collaborate. I myself am not 100% sure I can make the trip. My largest concern is the Brat making it and back, and then after that in a close second is the cost of fuel & food. Time off may not be a big deal though.
  7. I would narrow it a few inches so it doesnt stick out so far.
  8. An intercooler will help no matter how little boost you are running. You will definatly want to install one with this pplication.
  9. Sunday the 16th is no good for me. And the entire week following i'll be camping, thru till the end of Memorial day weekend.
  10. I wont be using an adapter for my swap. I want to use a Legacy or Impreza 5spd, weld the center diff and have a RWD EJ22 Brat
  11. JB your going to need to find someone to make you some custom axles. The FT4WD tranny is 25 spline, and all EA81's are 23 spline. And the EA82T 25 spline axles are too long to work in the brat. Best bet might be to cut some EA81 axles and EA82 axles in half, and have them welded back together. EA81 hub side, to EA82T tranny side... at the same length as a EA81 axle would be.
  12. I dont know, i stole those pictures off the internet. I wish my rig had those
  13. Yup, you should have done your homework before you bought them. No clue what 390mm rims are even doing in the US. Tires are impossible, and alternatives are unsafe.
  14. did you put a gasket between the adapter and the manifold??
  15. If you haven't traveled this trail, you better do it this year or the next. It won't be open much longer. And the closure will be a huge victory for tree-huggers everywhere, then all of our trails are in danger.
  16. Thats a good looking truck Chux! The front suspension looks funny I wish mine had a moonroof.
  17. Should have kept the Toyota. Forget the heep
  18. Yeah i created the thing and I don't even go in there I'll try to pop in ever so often from now on, sorry Andy.
  19. JB LETS GO WHEELIN!!! I got nobody to go with.
  20. It so freaking tempting you guys. My EA81 is old and tired, and everyday I curse the 73hp carburation. But, something tells me I should focus my energy looking for a job, or something. But we'll see....
  21. thats awesome JB!! Glad you got it running and looks like its even driving now. I talked to my buddy and we're definatly going to plan a trip for the Moonrocks. I might have to come up alone cause he likes to drag his feet. Spring Over & 33's and you'll be rockin'
  22. I kinda did the same, but I had fun with paint instead... oh and its for the toyota, not the sube...
