  1. your best deal is a good set of snow tires with studs , Mud tires don't do well on ice
  2. they use them on atvs http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a13/khendriksma1/ATV/Tires/PICT00682.jpg
  3. at slow speeds a screw in tire stud screw will help, you need enuf rubber so you don't drill into far and loose tire pressure http://www.arcticchat.com/forum/attachments/atv-tires-wheels/166929d1233892770-tire-studs-atvstuds.jpg
  4. I run a rear welded locked diff in many of my offroad cars, a couple keys to this is keep the rear light don't overload your trunk run good pressure in those tires and I don't drop a axle as its a hassle at the trailhead to reinstall and the smoother the tread the better, also its more squirrely in wet cornering

  8. got the car, whats the best way to lock the center diff as Ill be getting the power out the rear shaft ?
  9. Thanks I looked over that yota tread good stuff, I might do this In stages, I'm pickin up the car this week, it's a automatic, think ill do a quick 8-9" lift figure out the t-case mount get it drivable then look at swapping the axles out, that way I'll have a drivable car instead or a long drawn out project takin up room
  10. You'll need to stick with a EA82 clutch pedal assembly , the ea81 has a different trans mount so you'll need to make a custom trans crossmember, the legacy trans won't bolt up, and find a longer driveline if it was me I'd wait till I found a Dualrange ea82 trans
  11. Your model ea81 has weak cups they are shorter and weaker then the ea82 style, you can make a hybrid axle with the ea82 ends and the ea81 shafts, that's if the spline counts the same, is it the rear cups that split ?
  12. So I picked up 92 legacy wagon with automatic high gear doesn't work ,I have a 96 trans from another leg wag will it work in there? Is ther any differences?
  13. Found a car a 92 legacy wagon, should pickup this week it's a automatic, still not sure direction will be going with a devorced transfer case , I have a samurai and a 720 Nissan case to choose from not sure the best, I know the Sammy has a lot of aftermarket gears parts available ,
  14. The Loyale has struts on front and shocks with swing arms rear you can get a 1" or so with struts on front, would need a complete lift kit for much higher I sell them here www.sjrlift.com. The EA82 kits fit your car
  15. NW Washington USA the 2 bolt cover is removed and replaced with the ditsy, it exposes the end of the cam
  16. the Escort parts needed are the complete disty, the plug from disty to ignition module, the I module, a normal coil and coil wire
  17. Early 80s modified ford escort ditsy, I can modify it for you, also I sell a weber adapter , the stock EJ manifold is machined and the adapter welded on, can do both for you
