Anyone else using one? ANy noticable difference? Its been about 100 degrees here the past week and I installed a sprayer a few days ago.. a few squirts at a stop light to dissipate some of the heat.. My car seems a to be a bit happier now.

Time to add my Accell SuperStock coil to the dead list. It decided to crap out on me while about 60-70 miles from home.. Car stalled and would not restart. I got out and looked.. sure enough. oil from the coil had traveled down the coil wire to the cap. The coil wire was twice as big around as the rest of the wires. Thanks to 78TurboBrat for driving out to the middle of nowhere to bring me parts at 11-12 at night may return the coil and try a new one, only this time it will be mounted in a vertical type position, see if that helps any.

Yup, Mark is the man.. Without him, I don't know how I would have made it to Texas.

Theres no bolt on "performance intakes" for an EA82.. well.. except the one from www.subspeed.com Most of us just get creative.. try to find a pic os Skip's air intake its cooler than mine.. You can also just get a cone filter adapter for a Nissan from Autozone and do something like this.. Notice I removed the airbox altogether. http://usmb.net/albums/albuo11/picture_008.jpg K&N does make a straight drop in replacement for the stock filter as well I believe.

Off a tooth on the belt? That will cause a low compression reading( but you already knew that ) These motors are non interference. the problem you are having is either the cause of the broken belt, caused by the repair, or coincidental.

The biggest problem I see with it is that those ground effects aren't at my house -

as far as I know, there is no special tuning to be done for altitude differences on an EA82T. the computer automatically adjusts everything accordingly(at least the owners manual/FSM says it does. I don't notice any difference in the way mine runs in Seattle, Denver or Dallas.

Thats funny as hell.. It totally looks like one of the Johnnies! And for those that don't like 'tainted' parts.. I have stuff from.. lets see.. Mazda, Honda, Mitsubishi, and one little chevy part.. and all thats not even including the aforementioned accell and sony type stuff -
For old school, I would say my favorite was never made.. It would be something of a bastard child cross between my wagon and subaru styles' wagon.

FT4WD is Full Time 4WD. Some of the XT6s had a FT4WD 5 speed with a locking center diff and rear 3.90 LSD... Basically its early All Wheel Drive. I said this in hopes thats what you had. I have the GL-10 FT4WD With locking center diff and rear 3.70 LSD.. almost as cool as the XT6 3.90:lol: Based on everything you have described, fix the XT6, transplant the stuff from the wrecked XT into the wagon and enjoy both cars.

calebz replied to garner's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Yup, number one to tdc, then make the rotor point at number one wire on the disty cap and your good to go. -
My opinion? Wagon with new tranny (FT4wd)possibly from the XT6?\ XT6 5 lug stuff and sway bars. But thats just me.. not a big XT fan.. but the XT6 has lots of useful stuff for the wagon

distributor stuck in block
calebz replied to snowstormer's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Good tips Bill, but those directions are , as stated, for distributor disassembly. Gotta get the damn thing out before you have to go worrying about roll pins and stuff like that just keep working on it.Spray, twist, pull.. It will have to give up eventually. -

Will broken timing belt damage EA82 valves?
calebz replied to kenoterry's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
EA82 is non interference. No valve problems as a result of broken timing belts.
