Check the parking light switch on top of the steering column.. I have gotten 2 soobs now for cheap , in part because of 'wiring problems' causing the battery to drain.. turns out they didn't know about that extra parking light switch.. took me 3 dead batteries and 2 times through the owners manual to find it the first time:D

I drove mine from WA to TX shortly after putting it together from parts from multiple cars.. what an adventure. Glad you made it John!. sounds like a fun trip. Can't wait to see the finished product!

And where is that poor thing now Ken?

I can expand upon what matt told you. unfortunately it won't help you, as EA81 cars don't have rear coils. The springs were front springs from an 88 accord hatchback. They replaced the rear springs on an EA82 wagon

Gee.. and I thought Ken's Brat did some hellish offroading at the Rubicon:D

I also find it easier to do by pulling the motor. tansmissions are heavy.. fighting with gravity sucks.. its easier to pull the motor with a cherry picker.

Not really a club or anything. Theres one of us in frisco, 2 in denton, one in ft worth, and one I think in nevada(for those that don't know, thats a town in N. Texas). Plus myself in McKinney. I see one of the locals at least every 2 weeks for one reason or other. Maybe we should plan some sort of get together. -

If you are getting spark, its probably not the computer. Fuel pump relay is a good bet. If its easier for you, I will send you one.. save you an 800 mile trip. -

Richie is the man for your maintenance/repair needs -
Generally not, as the harness on the intake manifold will have different plug ends. However, I recently saw an early 87 that had 86 style plug ends on it

Thats about it.. larger tires are the only way to gain clearance under the diffs. Lift kits for unibody cars are, by necessity, body lifts. Their main purpose is to enable you to run larger tires.

I believe the company offering the front LSDs was Phantom Grip -
87 and newer EFI(SPFI, MPFI, Turbo) don't have vacuum ports. They are optical, CAS type distributors. they are interchangable, and I don't think there is a difference in power curves. I have had both 2wd (2 of them)and 4wd distributors in my car and they seem to function the same I am currently running an 88 2wd turbo disty in my 87 4wd turbowagon. No difference.
