  1. Check the parking light switch on top of the steering column.. I have gotten 2 soobs now for cheap , in part because of 'wiring problems' causing the battery to drain.. turns out they didn't know about that extra parking light switch.. took me 3 dead batteries and 2 times through the owners manual to find it the first time:D
  2. I drove mine from WA to TX shortly after putting it together from parts from multiple cars.. what an adventure. Glad you made it John!. sounds like a fun trip. Can't wait to see the finished product!
  3. Yup .. Thats Subaru3. our local Gen1 expert. His name is Todd. he's here on the board too
  4. Any Error codes? I have a spare 85-86 MAF, but shipping would be a killer...
  5. I can expand upon what matt told you. unfortunately it won't help you, as EA81 cars don't have rear coils. The springs were front springs from an 88 accord hatchback. They replaced the rear springs on an EA82 wagon
  6. Gee.. and I thought Ken's Brat did some hellish offroading at the Rubicon:D
  7. I also find it easier to do by pulling the motor. tansmissions are heavy.. fighting with gravity sucks.. its easier to pull the motor with a cherry picker.
  8. Dude, Its nice to help others but.... NO NEED TO SHOUT!!!
  9. Not really a club or anything. Theres one of us in frisco, 2 in denton, one in ft worth, and one I think in nevada(for those that don't know, thats a town in N. Texas). Plus myself in McKinney. I see one of the locals at least every 2 weeks for one reason or other. Maybe we should plan some sort of get together.
  10. Where? I have found a bit of info on the concept, but have seen absolutely nothing on production for them. perhaps you can give me some guidance?
  11. Hey Ma-Fia, There I see in your sig that you are looking for others in the dallas are. there are a few of us.. Where exactly are you ?
  12. was looking for something else and I found this. Interesting, especially if you are into rice. I personally think it looks good with rice:D http://www.supercars.net/cars/1999@$Subaru@$Impreza%20Electra%20One%20Conceptg.html
  13. Cool. I have 3-4 of them floating around in my garage. Just let me know.
  14. If you are getting spark, its probably not the computer. Fuel pump relay is a good bet. If its easier for you, I will send you one.. save you an 800 mile trip.
  15. Generally not, as the harness on the intake manifold will have different plug ends. However, I recently saw an early 87 that had 86 style plug ends on it
  16. Thats about it.. larger tires are the only way to gain clearance under the diffs. Lift kits for unibody cars are, by necessity, body lifts. Their main purpose is to enable you to run larger tires.
  17. I believe the company offering the front LSDs was Phantom Grip
  18. 87 and newer EFI(SPFI, MPFI, Turbo) don't have vacuum ports. They are optical, CAS type distributors. they are interchangable, and I don't think there is a difference in power curves. I have had both 2wd (2 of them)and 4wd distributors in my car and they seem to function the same I am currently running an 88 2wd turbo disty in my 87 4wd turbowagon. No difference.
  19. Bringing Rotated Americans Together What the hell is a 'Rotated American'?
  20. Yes, its quicker to go through Utah than montana. Have done both.
  21. Thats kind of a fun drive. When I moved from WA to TX, one of the legs of the journey was portland to evanston. took about 17 hours.
