And some of my friends doubt subarus! Just wish we could find a way to use a larger suspension lift and less body lift.

First build was 260, I have dialed back to sub 250 for this build. I am looking into an EG33 (3.3Ltr SVX engine) as a possible next step. I briefly considered a Cummins deisel and alison tranny that I had a chance to get but I want to keep the drivetrain as Subaru as possible because the first two questions people ask are what chassis the body is on and what engine is in it. I love being able to answer Subaru for both.

I have noticed that your pics do not download completely after over 13 minutes of downloading with broadband test speed of 467kbps and it's annoying

nice color

what gives? are 91k images necessary? what browser do you use?

I tried 1x, opera, netscape, and ie, no luck

same issue with your website

I might have to cruise on over with the ol' subaru bug and check this thing out!

I'm NOT one for big lifts and to big of tires, but DAMN!!! That thing looks GREAT:headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

How much clearance under the front dif?

I am on a 9.95/month 56K dial up and the pics came up for me right away (even with a slow connection I think it was like 41) I would absolutely love to see that beast in person. Scott, Bring it up to NJ.

HOT DAMN!

That thing is SWEET!:drunk:

Need a ladder to get in that ? :brow:

You need to come out West & kick some Ford/Chev/Dodge/Jeep rump roast!!!! I tend to go low & fast---but I really like the way you put a lot of thought & detail into that RIDE--:headbang::headbang::burnout:

hmmm.... don't know if anyone said it... but where's the drivetrain??? you like them pics with no drivetrain... :D

went up sunday to look/shoot hte breeze with Scott.. i'm about 6'2" tall the roof of the brat is level with the top of my head, lol.. its awsome..

"hmmm.... don't know if anyone said it... but where's the drivetrain???"

Rome wasn't built in one day and neither was this BRAT. The diff and Tcase are in, the shafts are being built at the driveline shop and will be ready for pickup Monday.

Here is the Front diff:

The Tcase where I used the OEM Nissan mounts:

OMG! that is sick. it looks like a mini monster truck. how well do you think the cv axle will hold up to those 33s? and all the tourque from the t-case?

They will be stressed more for sure, part of the game. I do have a set of new diffs and halfshafts that are from the front of a Nissan, R200s. I was going with the R180 but the 200 gives me airlockers and lower gears. The Nissan half shafts are being shortened and re-splined to fit the re-enforced EA81 outer cups.

Just unbelievable!!! The blue is gorgious. Scott, just to be nosie, what do you do for a living???? Tim

The short explaination is Rocket Scientist. My Boeing job title is Scientist II, and my working title is Flight Opperations Specialist Automation/ Recovery. What I do on a planned basis is monitor space vehicle state of health and support testing and integration. We also upload guidance data, payload control software and space craft opperating software. The other side of ops is the recovery of vehicles that have experienced an anomaly that impacts health or service of the space craft. That is sort of the high pressure panic part of the job.
