Ok. first up is my '86 Brat. 3" BYB lift kit, rear disc brakes, Genuine Subaru 14" Chromed Alloys. Otherwise, entirely stock yet, even the radio. Only 90,400 miles on it. Dash is perfect, seats are perfect... Purchased it in '99 with 75k or 77k on it.... This one sees no winter salty roads, and no offroading... will be my son's first car....

 

 

next up is my '82 Brat. Offroader definitely.... in this pic it had the following...

5" lift (combined BYB, SJR, RX front springs, and some home-brew stuff )

rear disks

5 speed swap, xt6 clutch set-up, custom driveshaft

weber 32/36 with 155 mains.

MSD 6A Ignition, Accel SuperCoil, recurved distributor

ea81 with Delta torque cam and ea71 pistons

and after a few years of wheeling, and breaking stuff, and modifying it to be stronger, I finally had enough of the limits of the IFS/IRS/gearing and the breakage I was seeing. needed too much of the skinny pedal to keep up with the others.... so now it looks like this (mostly. more pics soon with bumper and cage, etc...)

 

unlifted it, and put the engine/trans back in their stock locations, and had my fab guru friend Chris (BlueJeep) redesign and fab everything....

Still rockin' the Beast, but with about 1/4" of free play on the crank and a gallons per hour oil leak, it doesnt see much wheelin ATM

heres a pic of my lifted roo after some mudding. It seems I might have picked up a nail and had a small leak.Thats why the tire is flat.And the mud was hosed off..
