  1. I'd be interested in joining. By the way Brian, you gonna cal for your trim? I'm not going to be home this weekend but next should be good.
  2. is it just me or are there NO pics in this thread?
  3. Ya know, it's amazing that that new headlight law has been in effect for what, a year now and a LOT of people STILL don't drive with their headlights on (even in the fog with very sh*tty visibility ). Gotta love the rain though, been needing it for a while and am looking forward to the snow and am hoping to get some in me neck of the woods (1500'). Let it rain let it rain let it rain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:banana:
  4. Very very nice. Forgive me but how big a lift is that again? Definitely looks good (and right) with Swampers:headbang::headbang:
  5. I've hardwired EVERY stereo I've had in EVERY car I've owned and loved it. I would assume the PO did the same with yours:confused:. Did it always do this or just recently. You can leave the fuse in as long as you remember to turn the radio "off" after. The clock shouldn't be all that much of a drain on the battery. Don't quote but 9 out of 10 times the radio and the clock are on the same fuse and someone bypassed the ignition switch and hardwired it. OR, you could have a wonderful electrical gremlin to hunt down. Good luck either way and let us know what it was.
  6. I have an 84 GL Wagon with good a/c and all and would like to keep it if at all possible with my EJ22 swap. What all would be needed to accomplish this? Sorry if this has been asked before but the search button isn't very nice to me.
  7. No worries, just found out I have to wait another week before I get my ride back and it's being delivered:grin:.
  8. Subscribing as I bought one that has the same problem and am clueless.
  9. Hey Brian, I'm heading to Tahoe again this Sunday and might be able to bring it back for ya sooner if ya want. Would be able to drop at your place on Monday as long as Jibs is willing to meet in Tahoe South Shore. PM if ya want
  10. The 96 and newer Outbacks have a body lift per say as all it is is spacers between the body and subframes to keep the axles in "good" geometry. Mind you that is for the Average Person that does squat with modifying their ride and want "the best" from the factory. A LOT of people have used Outback struts and springs (springs are the same regardless of Outback or Legacy from what I've heard, it's all the strut) without using the spacers and have had NO problems and a few people have taken their 96 and newer Outbacks and replaced the struts with factory GT struts (hence LOWERING their Outback) without removing the "body spacers" and have had NO problems. Check out SL-i.net and find Sybir (honestly don't recall if he's on this board but he's also om NABISCO too) and talk to him about his lowered Outback and his axle life if you're really concerned. Here is a pic I have of a factory Outback vs a Legacy with Outback struts/ springs and tires. Notice the difference in ground clearance.
  11. EA81 at the moment as I kinda need my EJ25 after I get it back on Sunday:brow:.
  12. Any brake on doin a set of heads too?
  13. EA81 with EJ22 and 6inch SJR lift and EA81 with EA81 and 4inch SJR lift would be my choice skids. Possibly also an EA82 with EJ22 and SJR 3inch lift.
  14. Nice score!!! I was looking at that one too but don't have the space for another ride at the moment. That and being a section job I was a little skeptical on it. Good to know it was done correctly and still has the same structural integrity as a stocker. So you're going to do an EJ swap, anything else good?
  15. Man that looks like too much fun!!! Wish I was closer to join in the funs.
  16. That and a cam are about the best you're gonna get. Check out http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=67317&highlight=engine+rebuild for more info.
  17. I'd go for the 85 N/a 5spd model provided it's 4wd. If ya need more power than it has, you can ALWAYS do an EJ swap down the road and have 130 hp. Gotta love living in parts that are NOT CARB counties (I live in one too:banana::banana:) and thus will be doing an EJ swap on my 84 when I get done with my other cars and then a 30R swap into my Outback after that.

    Subari?

X A LOT. This has been a dream of mine and a possible doin once I get my BRAT and everything else done. I already have the Wagon it's just a matter of time, $$$ and sense (short on that one).
  19. Hit up S'ko, he's down in Inglewood if I remember and one hell of a nice guy. Met him on my last trip down to LA and plan on getting together with him and Crabman (who I haven't met yet) and doin a BRAT outing.
  20. Granted you have an Impreza and I have a Legacy but I found that going the e bay intake route to the stock airbox was the BEST mod I've done for sound and upper rmp gain. The intake was for an 01 RS and had to be modded (read shortened) to work with the stock airbox but well worth it. I also took the inner fender snorkus out and plugged the hole with an RS blockoff plate. While your modding everything and have your air intake off, you might want to go ahead and do the TB Bypass mod as well, it really made the throttle response crisper. Also gives a nice throaty growl with the intake and stock exhaust.
  21. nice!!!! Reminds me of some of the snot around the Santa Monica Mountain ranges. Slippery as snot and so much fun:headbang:
