It's not an STi underneath. It's all Impreza but not STi. They have 4.44 final drive. Both 5spd and the auto. And have a VLSD 4.44 R160 rear diff. The motor is similar to what came in an STi, and the 04 you can actually plug and 04 STi ecu right in, of course you'll want to use the other stuff to go along with it. I did this to mine. STi turbo, intercooler, ecu, everything. And then did the full 6 spd swap with brembos and the R180. It was awesome.- rwd fun and lsd test
Forester xt got the R160 like every other Subaru except for the STi.- rwd fun and lsd test
Yes. STi is R180. No Subaru has come with an R200.- The Unofficial "How to Lift your Impreza" Thread
You could probably throw some 1 inch spacers on top of the struts without changing anything else.- The Unofficial "How to Lift your Impreza" Thread
It'll be the same on the L as it was on your OBS. You'll want the trailing g arm brackets for a GC bodied car.- "Gina the purple wagon"
You don't NEED rear camber bolts. There is enough adjustment in the lateral links to align it. The trailing arm brackets are a good idea, but again, aren't absolutely necessary, but will help to center the tires and fit bigger ones. If you plan on going with more than outback struts, than you definitely want the brackets.- 1984 Brat Project
That's what I have. It takes some practice for sure.- 1984 Brat Project
Don't try to do steady beads. Lots of little spot welds is the way to go on thin sheet metal. And then slowly fill in the gaps.- Steel Bumper Build - Material Thickness?

Also, the access as I said is on the rear of the passenger side head. But you need to make sure the cam is slotted. The escort carb needs slight modification to fit tightly into place. Just some filing does the trick. And the intake manifold doesn't just accept a carb. It needs custom machine work and then an adapter welded in place.- Carbing ej18
It's not about Obd1 and obd2, it's about phase 1 and phase 2. Ej18 and phase 1 ej22 will be pretty much the same. Phase 1 ej22 goes from 89-most 98's. But the ej22 only has the slotted cam up to 95 and maybe some 96's from what I'm told. I'm not sure if the Ej18 has the slot in the passenger side cam to drive the escort diety or not.- My '83 GL Coupe - Hardtop SSS

You'll only get 2-2.5" of lift with the forester struts and springs. You should really stick to those springs or similar length on those struts. The additional lift comes from bigger tires. I don't run a rear sway bar on my lifted cars. The front works just fine as is. But yeah, if you wanted to run the rear sway, you could probably use longer links or bigger brackets. And yeah, you can use the outback or forester rear trailing arm bracket to Re center the rear wheel.- The Unofficial "How to Lift your Impreza" Thread
You only need different top hats for the rear. Or you could drill holes and isn't all them complete. The front has camber bolts already and even without the body lift, alignment can be adjusted in spec the way it is.- Factory EA82 15" 4x140 Rims for Cheap available everywhere (probably)

It says 95 legacy in the title- interswapping EA81 and EA82 struts !
I used EA82 bolts. I know this because the EA82 motor was toast so I swapped in the ea81, and just swapped everything from the EA82 onto the ea81.- stuck caliper! need help!
